American Legion Alabama Boys State was honored to welcome the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan “Razin” Caine for a powerful discussion on leadership, service, and the responsibility of leading others with character and purpose.

Delegates had the opportunity to hear firsthand insights from one of our nation’s top military leaders before participating in an engaging Q&A session covering leadership, decision-making, teamwork, and service to country.

We were also privileged to welcome Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) David Isom, whose message reinforced the importance of servant leadership, discipline, and mentorship.

Experiences like these continue to make Alabama Boys State one of the premier leadership programs in the nation, giving our student leaders direct access to distinguished leaders who inspire the next generation of citizens and public servants.

Presenting the 89th Alabama Boys State, State Picture.

Day 7 at Alabama Boys State brought a remarkable week to a close. Delegates gathered for final ceremonies where Best Citizen Awards, Best City honors, and scholarships were presented alongside University of Alabama President Mohler. Thank you to the University of Alabama, the American Legion Department of Alabama, and everyone who made the 89th Alabama Boys State possible.

Earlier this week, Alabama Boys State received a video message from U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville.

Senator Tuberville has represented Alabama in the United States Senate since 2021. He serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee, and Veterans’ Affairs Committee. Prior to his time in the Senate, Tuberville was a college football coach at the University of Mississippi, Auburn University, Texas Tech University, and the University of Cincinnati, and was named SEC Coach of the Year during his coaching career.
