Two sets of Evocation I PAF humbuckers in different guises. Both wound with 42awg wire, vintage braided hookup and with an AlNiCo IV at the bridge and AlNiCo II at the neck, but one set dressed in chrome with the other in gold. Showing the variance in true hand scatterwinding, the pickups tested with slightly different output and inductance values despite each set being wound using the same number of turns of wire from the exact same reel. Both pickups sets were tested after potting and having cooled to room temperature. The subtle differences in output and inductance are caused by a different scatter and different tensions on each wind (as well as slightly different gauss readings from each individual magnet), and shows that every totally handmade pickup is unique!

The chrome set read out at 6.82K / 3.76H at the neck and 8.58K / 5.41H at the bridge, whereas the gold set tested at 6.91K / 3.72H at the neck and 8.52K / 5.27H at the bridge.

A composed matched HS set consisting of a Hartshorn bridge humbucker and Hemlock neck single coil.

This set is wound such that the neck single coil will be RW/RP with the split bridge, giving a hum-cancelling middle position when the bridge is split to a single coil.

This set tested at 12k in the neck, and 18.4k in the bridge, with the Hemlock sporting non-staggered AlNiCo V rod magnets, and the Hartshorn bridge powered by an AlNiCo VIII bar magnet.

A composed set of a Nix Alba neck P90 and Evocation I bridge humbucker for Kieran of @gigsandguitars1

This set has AlNiCo II & III magnets in the neck, and an AlNiCo IV in the bridge, so really runs the gamut of vintage magnet choices!

The Nix Alba neck P90 tested at 7.05k / 3.65H, and the Evocation I bridge humbucker at 8.98k / 5.60H

The foliate covered Hartshorn set have found their home in an ocean burst Minarik Goddess!
Alongside the pickups and a thorough cleaning, the guitar has been treated to a solid bell brass bridge, lightweight aluminium tailpiece, black Tusq XL nut, vintage Grover tulip tuners, uprated pots and switch, some new plastics, and some really fancy abalone inlaid control knobs.

AlNiCo II powered vintage hot P90 capable of handling high gain and pushing the amp hard while retaining that classic, fat P90 sound.

Components assembled for a new set of Leviathan 8 string humbuckers from the mighty @alchemypickups.

I’ve been including Alchemy Leviathans in my erg builds for a few years now, they are far and away the most brutal metal pickups I’ve ever had the pleasure to use, and Jack is an absolute diamond to work with.

An old Claymore pickup that came in for a service - after being swapped in and out of many guitars and lots of gear and setup changes the pickup needed a new baseplate (because the mounting holes had been widened and stripped to use different mounting screws) and the customer decided he wanted to try the Claymore bridge with an AlNiCo VIII magnet in place of the oversized ceramic it was originally supplied with, and the pickup needed repotting after the work was done.
The baseplate transplant went smoothly and apparently the AlNiCo VIII swap has yielded some great sounds, so overall a successful operation!

After the mag swap this A8 Claymore bridge was tested outputting around 22k with an inductance of 12.50H!

A straightforward nickel Evocation II neck PAF style humbucker with vintage braided hookup.

The Evocation II neck has an AlNiCo III magnet to have a transparent and clear sound without oversaturating the natural warmth of the neck position, and is lower output and lightly potted for maximum touch sensitivity and responsiveness.
This one tested at 6.8k output and 3.42H inductance.

A super custom Hartshorn set built for an upcoming project that just gives some idea of what's possible when you really push the boat out with pickup covers.

These 12 hole, foliate style openwork pickup covers are set over a 12 hole black pvc plate to hide the coils beneath and focus the eye on the pickup cover design.
