The other day by accident I discovered that used coffee grounds are a great way to mop up oil and grease from pots and dishes. Saves so much water, soap, time, energy, planet. Give it a shot. Works in homes and restaurants and all kitchens. #coffeegrounds #discovery #lifehack #ecohack #ecofriendly #onewithnature #coffee #morningcuppa☕️ #grease #oil #cookingoil #potsandpans #dishes #cooking #cleaning #kitchen #kitchensink #degrease #zerowaste #environment #earth #ecosolutions #sustainableliving #sustainability #diy #weareallenvironmentalists #feelkaroreelkaro by @alcurmally

Went shopping with @thealaghkothi @anjorialaghlamba and found another piece of History for my collection... The "Infinite Interlock" Cast Ring The concept of an interlocked cast—where the infinity symbol is stamped directly onto the underlying structural bridge—originates from ancient lost-wax metal casting, a technique that has been practiced continuously in India for over 5,000 years since the Indus Valley Civilization. In traditional metalsmithing, a large dome-shaped or hollow-faced ring could not be cast entirely solid because it would be too heavy and expensive. To resolve this, ancient artisans carved a hollow cavity beneath the ring's face to reduce weight while preserving the grand exterior size. For the ring to survive the thermal stress of molten metal cooling down, a structural bar—called a casting bridge or stabilizer—had to be built directly across the hollow underside to prevent the band from warping or collapsing inward. Artisans would stamp a continuous loop mark right there to signify that the face pattern and the band were cast together out of a single, unbroken pour of molten copper rather than soldered together in pieces. Stamping an infinity loop across the seam of that bridge historically symbolized that the entire ring was poured in one singular, uninterrupted, interlocked flow of molten metal. It guaranteed that the heavy face hadn't been cheaply soldered onto a separate band later, which could snap under pressure. #ring #infinity #artifacts #metal by @alcurmally
My AI Art. It's the thought that counts 🤭 generative in the much-admired "clip art" style Made Image 1 a few months ago and was too scared to post but the kids are being so brave so I told myself, aunty be brave, you really must step up and speak freely. Feels really good thank you Gen Z. Like the BJP shills have been silenced for a while. The never ending propaganda of greatness when a road cannot be maintained because there never was an intention to do anything but sell ethanol. The crazy lies being spun as money is vacuumed out of the system and sent who knows where. Widespread promotion of GMO for US imports and pushing polyester as technical textiles... just utter garbage being forced on us. Israel is the Fatherland? Of India? FO. Persecute non vegetarians for fun? Garland gang rapists? Insidious nonsense that's setting us back centuries as humans. And they don't even want doctors to be Real. Loss of a great culture of people who know and listen to the land.... in front of our own eyes because some really atrocious greedy people want to cheat and rig their way to a meritless oligarchy of extremely ugly buildings that run on generators or pad Adani cashflow. So boring. The media gets paid to tell them they're beautiful every day. India does not need the bottomless pit of greed and avarice which a few 'went abroad' Indians are trying to ape and sell as progress when our future has to be Different because our Land is different, our History is different, we are different. Everyone sees through Oz now. So uneducated, divisive, and egotistical it hurts our national interests. Time to send him off in a hot air balloon. We are far from perfect (caste and patriarchy off the top of my head) but we are not the worst place on earth... though we just might get there if we do not strangle the greed, in ourselves and in these asuras, who want us to keep coveting shiny objects and fighting each other while they steal from us and make us salute them still. Jai Hind. Let my country awake. Let us live with hope again that we will not die just trying to go to work (on roads we paid for). Let us happily prove everyday that we Actually care for each other. by @alcurmally

Piece of History... a Cricket Club of India "Founder Member" Badge, circa 1933 Belonged to my grandfather Ebrahim Curmally. It's solid, has some heft for a little object. CCI was incorporated in 1933... possibly he was the 45th to receive membership.... as per the internet, only a small pool of individuals stepped forward to fund the club before Brabourne Stadium was built by 1937 and memberships were assigned sequentially #familyhistory #historyofBombay #Ismailis #cricketclubofIndia #itbelongsinamuseum Lucky Charms, Ancestors by @alcurmally
