2nd trimester diaries:
migraines carried into the beginning of this trimester, and I also got the flue and was out for a few days hehe

Felt so pretty at our gender reveal for our family. 💖 it was crazy that we’d known her gender since week 7 of pregnancy, but it was so sweet to finally with our loved ones.

Sofía has so many people that love her. 💖

I finally started seeing a belly from above hehe
I could totally still see my feet though.

Spent some time reflecting in California.

Our lives are changing and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Got to feel her move for the first time, and it made it so so real. My lil bestie. 💖

Last mothers day without my lil potatoes 💖

I’ve felt a bit of guilt during this pregnancy… just mentally and emotionally preparing myself to not have as much quality time with the pups. I’ll always love them, and I hope that they understand that momma just needs to give the lil potatoes some extra love. These pups have gotten me through some tough times, and they deserve to be snuggled and loved on. 💖

We finally had our big anatomy scan and we finally got to see a 3D image of what baby girl might look like. (She looked a little funny because she was still small and didn’t have that much fat on her her.)

Took baby girl to auntie Aryka’s wedding. 💖⛪️

Spent lots of mornings eating bagels hehe

Parents finally made it back to the US, and they’ve been a huge help! We resumed weekly snuggles. ❤️

Griffith Observatory

The sunset from Griffith Observatory was so beautiful. 💖

We also went on a hike @ Lake Hollywood Reservoir followed by a tasty dinner at @alltime.

Felt baby girls first movements during this trip.

It was truly magical. 👶🏽💖

It was so nice finally meeting @sarahthack and her husband. They hosted us for dinner. 🍽️ aside from the tasty food, also got some premium pup time and rice pudding.

First trimester diary:
morning snuggles with these two was the best 💝

Our first ultrasound of bb girl! 💝

Pilates was definitely something I looked forward to during the first month ish

… until exhaustion hit me.

I would go to work, sleep on my lunches, then come home and sleep some more…. I remember my friend @svadyrachel visited and it was so hard not telling her I was pregnant. She probably thought I just wasn’t having fun lol. Cus I kept sleeping and being so low energy. Which is very not like me.

Migraines became almost a weekly ordeal, and I couldn’t take my meds. I would just try to sleeep. I also would have cramping that would send me spiraling. Pregnancy after loss was extremely tough early on.

I remember thinking I looked so pregnant! hahaha it’s comical to look back

@plantedflorals and Robby always making me the yummiest mocktails when I’d go over. 💖

People ask me if the animals knew that I was pregnant, but all my animals are extremely affectionate, and that stayed pretty consistent.

I remember taking this before going to my appointment wondering if I’d be the last photo I’d have with my bb… I was consumed by anxiety. I didn’t want to get my hopes up.

I remember not wanting the transvaginal ultrasound, but I also wanted to see her and check her heart beat. I teared up from the pain, but then felt relief from seeing my little bb. I think this was the last TV ultrasound I agreed to. I also learned that I have choice on what things I want done or don’t. I’ll go more in depth on that on my third trimester diary. This day I was also released to go back to work. The severe cramping and spotting stopped. 💖

Idk if I got dizzy or what but all I know is fell in the parking lot coming into work and busted my knee and hands 🥲 hehe

My sweet bub has been the best pillow and comfort pup this entire pregnancy. He’s always ready to snuggle, I can even wrap my legs and arms around him and he doesn’t mind one bit. 💖

My little grange is about to be the bigggggest sister! If you’ve been around here for a while you probably remember my dog Diesel, and my parents pup Brownie. They’ve both gone to heaven but they both raised little Laurent, and I credit by @alean

i’m so blessed to have this one in my life 🤍 rachel, you are so grounding! through the tears, the laughs, all of it, you just get it 🥹 so happy you visited, so bummed we didn’t set off fireworks lol, and so ready for our next adventure 🚲✨ love you!!

These photos are 10 weeks late but we’re here. 🤍
When we found out I wanted to share right away, but the first few weeks were really scary. I was cramping and spotting and we just didn’t know if everything was going to be okay. We hadn’t even told all of our close friends and family yet, so sharing with the world felt impossible.

It took until week 12 to finally feel ready enough to do this shoot, and another 2 weeks until we posted the announcement.

Nobody warned me that growing a human would make me feel like I was running on 2% battery at all times. The exhaustion was unlike anything I’d ever experienced.
Also!! gentle PSA:
DO NOT laminate your ultrasound photo.
(I learned this the hard way, but honestly? Getting to see that tiny gummy bear again made it worth every penny.)

January 4th, I got him the most meaningful birthday gift of his life and he needed a full 10 seconds to process it 🤪🎂 love him, and our little sweet potato so much 💝

January 2nd, the day my entire life changed. 💝 I almost couldn’t believe it, so I ran home and took a digital test, and I was still in disbelief. Haha

it’s never too late for a recap 💝 2025 edition
1. Visited Peru for my nieces and nephews graduation from medical school. (This is the beach at their beach house. We went on walks, enjoyed the sun, and had tasty food!)
2. Night out with cutie pie.
3. Built my second enclosure for Lavender.
4. Ashley took me on a ride on her new E-bike! 10/10
5. Dog sat for my nephew, and it was wild. Every dog was desperate for attention. hahaha
6. Adidas and labubu.
7. Pool days with J.
8. Louis enjoy a flower from the backyard.
9. Jonathan refuses to hold babies, but made an exception for Eliana. Hehe (he’s scared he’s going to break them.)
10. Lucky is my errand budy on my days off.
11. Fell in love with Pilates.
12. Lucky loving on auntie Kierstyn.
13. Brad has one of my wishlist cats! It’s always so fun to visit him.
