Recent generational ice cream run. In one hand I have a double with Dulce de Leche and Horchata ice cream from Mitchell’s and the other is the classic Oreo Cookie.

Never tried these two flavors before but they were incredible, the dulce wasn’t overpoweringly sweet and it has that classic Mitchell’s smooth and thick texture. They also complimented each other really well and I would love to get this combo again. by @alecicecream

Had the chance to stop by Leatherby’s in Folsom, CA! 🍦I ordered a a Brownie Delight for some never before seen solo big backery — Cookie Monster 🍪 and Hot Chocolate ☕️ ice cream flavors topped with hot fudge and marshmallow cream. While I may have contracted big back itis, it was a good meal and served as my lunch! 😋

The Cookie Monster flavor was similar to a classic Cookies n’ Cream, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the Hot Chocolate flavor. It had a deep and rich flavor that reminded me instantly of cups of Swiss Miss, layered with chocolate chips for a great texture. The taste of this flavor alone almost surpassed the guilt for my gluttonous actions.

However, I remained guilty for the following reasons: The marshmallow cream sauce was a bit too heavy so I ended up scraping a lot of it to the side to even out the sauce ratio. Additionally, the texture of the brownies at the bottom after finishing the ice cream was a bit soggy and not the most appetizing. The portion, while consumable solo, would probably be more enjoyable to share, for I was quite full (on an empty stomach as well).
