HOUSTON! We’re honored to bring AIRPORT BLVD to the Houston Cinema Arts Festival, co-hosted by community partner Black Cinema Club HTX, for a special screening at the historic DeLuxe Theater this Sunday, October 4 at 7 PM.
@cinemasocietyhtx @blackcinemaclubhtx

In the transforming streets of East Austin, Xavier watches his community, friendships, and sense of home disappear. As the city evolves around him, Airport BLVD becomes a soulful, romantic, and bittersweet love letter to a city old and new.

After the screening there will be a live Q&A with the Producers and Cast of Airport BLVD, moderated by Holly Herrick of Austin Film Society.

Hangout for the afterparty, presented by Houston Music Classifieds, with a live performance by Rubato Elegy. @houstonmusicclassifieds @rubato_elegy

Join Airport BLVD Writer and Director, Alejandro Hendricks, at the Houston Cinema Arts Festival for “The Making of Airport BLVD: Lessons for the Next Indie Filmmaker.” A candid conversation about what it takes to make an independent feature film.

This workshop will unpack the realities of taking a feature from an idea to the screen—from building a production from the ground up to navigating the creative, logistical, and community-driven decisions that shape an independent film.

Alejandro will explore how cinema can serve as a time capsule, what makes Texas a compelling place to shoot independent films, and how Airport BLVD was developed alongside the East Austin community that inspired the story and became a true collaborator in bringing it to life.

📅 Tuesday, October 6
⏰ 5:30–7:00 PM
📍 Six Foot, 4200 Montrose Blvd Suite 100, Houston, TX 77006
