✧ As we near the second iteration of ECHOES ATX, we're revisiting the archives of our inaugural 2025 exhibition and reflecting on the artists who helped bring it to life. Meet Daizy López (@shopespiritulibre), the Austin-based Latina fashion designer behind Espíritu Libre, a clothing brand celebrating femininity, cultural heritage, and creative expression. For our first exhibition, Daizy presented La Diosa Divina, a collection inspired by the powerful women who shaped her childhood. Drawing from Mexican folklórico traditions, Selena Quintanilla, La Virgen de Guadalupe, and the jewelry she grew up wearing, her handmade designs bring familiar cultural influences into something entirely her own.
