Oh hi, I’m Aleks!

I was born in Poland and moved the U.S. when I was 4. Growing up in Hamtramck in the early 90’s meant that my community was everything to me. And bringing everyone together? Communicating clearly? Well, that wasn’t nice to have, it was a necessity in my world.

I got my degree in Advertising from MSU in 2014 and then moved to LA for a year where I worked for a small music label. I didn’t know it at the time but learning WordPress would be of the most important lessons I would ever learn.

Today I use a combination of platforms, AI tools and honest conversations to get to the heart of what a business owner wants to see for their customers.

If this sounds like you, let’s chat:

✨ You want a human first, but aren’t opposed to AI tools
✨ You have outgrown your DIY website and/or branding
✨ You want other systems hooked up and the ability to put out offer, events, sales etc. without paying for a separate tool to use them
✨ You’re a service provider, coach, or someone with a community that you want to inspire to do good for the world
✨ You take your work seriously but not yourself, because life’s too short

Two years ago, some of the people I now call friends were complete strangers. And I had absolutely no idea how much they would change my life.

This November marks two years of betting on myself. Starting a business, putting my ideas out into the world, sending messages I probably overthought, and walking into rooms full of people I didn’t know.

And when I think about everything that’s happened since, the best part isn’t the projects I’ve completed or the businesses I’ve helped build.

It’s the people.

It’s the strangers who became friends. The conversations that turned into opportunities. The coffee dates, collaborations, events, and crazy ideas that somehow became real things.

From building brands and websites to creating scavenger hunts and helping bring HERstory Night to life, I’ve had experiences I couldn’t have imagined two years ago. And so many of them started with simply putting myself out there.

Which brings me to something I think about a lot.

The scariest thing to me isn’t failing. It’s never trying at all.

It’s picturing myself five years from now, wondering what my life could have looked like if I’d just gone for it.

What if I’d started that business? Sent that message? Walked into that room? Introduced myself to that stranger? Bet on myself even when I wasn’t sure how it would all work out?

Because here’s what I’ve learned in these almost two years: sometimes the greatest thing that comes from taking a chance isn’t even the thing you were trying to achieve.

Sometimes it’s the people you meet along the way. The friendships you never saw coming. The doors you didn’t even know existed.

And I think about how easily I could have missed all of it.

I don’t know exactly what the next five years will look like. But I know I don’t want to spend them wondering what could have happened if I’d been brave enough to try.

So I’ll keep showing up. Keep walking into rooms. Keep starting conversations. Keep betting on myself.

Because even if it doesn’t all work out the way I imagined, I’d rather have a story to tell than a lifetime of wondering what if.

With Empowered Moms just 5 days away, I am thinking about how much I enjoyed working with @dremilyjacobs to elevate her already incredible community experience!

The fact is, Power Hours are rarely just about one thing. We can dive deep into your website but we also cover so much more - overall marketing strategy, social media, branding and more.

Sometimes it feels like no matter what you choose as a mom, somebody has something to say.

You work and put your child in daycare? You get judged.
You stay home and don’t contribute financially? You get judged for that, too.

Walking away from my corporate job was a really difficult decision for me. Honestly, I still feel like I have one foot in both worlds. I love being a mom, and I also want a career, my own income, independence, and something that feels like mine.

So much of this documentary hit home. Going back to the office. Putting my oldest in daycare. Trying to keep breastfeeding, but having a pump that wasn’t as effective and watching my supply disappear. That part alone was brutal.

It feels like the U.S. asks so much of moms without giving us the support to make any of these choices feel manageable.

And what I kept coming back to after yesterday’s screening was this: we need less judgment.

For the mom who wants to stay home.
For the mom who wants to work.
For the mom who is still figuring it out.

We’re allowed to want different things. We’re allowed to love our kids and have ambitions of our own. And we’re allowed to make a different choice when what we need changes.

Thank you to @badewithmic and Diane of putting this evening together.

I really think everyone should watch this documentary. If you’d like to host a screening in your city, visit momsfirst.us to learn more. ā¤ļø by @aleksheide

Here’s the thing.

I could post the more aesthetic picture here. The one where I’m posing a little better, everything looks a little more put together, and it’s probably objectively ā€œcuter.ā€

But honestly, that doesn’t feel the most like me.

The truth is, my Instagram isn’t always going to be perfectly curated. Neither am I in real life.

But I am consistent. I show up.

And lately, I’ve been really focused on living a more abundant, authentic life. Tapping into what actually feels like me. Comparing less. Performing less. Not trying to make myself, my life, or my work look like something it isn’t.

I’m a little more off the cuff. A little less polished. A little more likely to post the picture I actually like instead of the one that looks the most ā€œInstagram.ā€

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with loving the polished, styled, beautifully curated version of things. Some people genuinely love that, and it feels completely natural to them.

I’m just realizing it doesn’t always feel natural to me.

And I don’t want to spend my life trying to look like someone I’m not when I actually really like who I am. by @aleksheide

Drumroll please…….. 🄁🄁🄁🄁🄁🄁🄁

When we met Molly Lipton, aka @levelup_athlete_recruiting, we immediately knew we were in the presence of someone truly special.

Molly was a storyteller at the last HERstory Night event and of course, absolutely crushed it.

She inspires not only the athletes that she works with but also students and really, anyone who crosses her path. We are absolutely honored to have her magnetic energy on the HERstory Night stage at @jeffersonhubdet on November 12!

Say hello to Molly and get ready for an incredible evening ā¤ļø by @aleksheide

Not to be dramatic but the gym, and lifting specifically, has changed my life.

Because when I’m lifting some heavy ass weights above my head, I HAVE to focus and my thoughts HAVE to slow down.

And I leave feeling stronger, more powerful, and full of energy and that spills over into other parts of my life.

Forever keeping this tool in my toolbox ā¤ļø by @aleksheide

I’d like to think these little lessons are like building blocks for them, for who they will become in the future.

And even though today it seems like a small thing, these small repeated actions and patterns they see over and over again will help them understand they don’t have to be perfect to start the thing, whatever that is.

Shout out to @kim_kin_wellness and @thenestwellnessco for a cute free event ✨ check them out! by @aleksheide
