From bottles to barbells. After nearly 10 years lost in alcohol addiction, I had found my way one rep, and one day at a time. The hardest part was not giving up even on tough days where I wanted to quit and pick up the bottle again. But I kept going. And after 365 days later, I not only feel better, I’m ALIVE! Truly grateful for all the love and support over this time. Yesterday morning I lost one of the greatest influences of my life, my grandfather. For those who don't know, my grandfather had been with me and my family for as long as I can remember. Not only did this man teach me everything from being the man I am today, he had also taught me how to drive my first car, and to cook all the best Italian food. He had even inspired me to join the military when I was younger. Anyways I'm going to miss seeing him downstairs every morning and taking care of him. Or driving around singing songs we didn't remember the lyrics to. Or even watching all the John Wayne movies on A.M.C. The fact is, this was incredibly difficult for me to post. People don't realize how grateful they are for someone until they're gone. I love you papa, and I'm always going to miss you.. by @aleksroche
