Congratulations to the 96 local #poets who feature in these 2 new #poetry anthologies, inspired by Rochdale's year as Greater Manchester Town of Culture. 👏 Now available to buy, ‘Weaving Words’ is a 120-page collection and captures the uniqueness of the borough, with poems celebrating local people and places. The second is aimed at children, called ‘Poems to change the world.’ Over the last year Rochdale’s Poet Laureate @sammyjweaver led writing workshops with residents and over 650 young people, drawing on Rochdale’s co-operative history as a source of inspiration. Both anthologies (£10 each) are available to buy from any of the 16 local libraries @rochdalelibrary or from Rochdale Pioneers Museum.📙 Great souvenirs of a very special year. #RochdaleTownOfCulture @greatermcr 3 people smiling, with a book of poetry taken in Number One Riverside by @alende99
