@architekperc will be performing the canadian premiere of The Brown Gardener for four percussionists on Sunday, March 1st at the Semaine du Neuf, a festival held by @groupelevivier. Originally premiered in Geneva through a collaboration with @ensemble_contrechamps, the piece is presented alongside world premieres by @nicolelizee and #danielzeacomposer!

The Quiet Rush (@grimaitregilles , @elsadorbath , @Alexandre_babel ) returns for a week residency at the @centre_abc to work on new material. Results will be presented at the Temple Allemand of la Chaux de Fonds on friday 19.06, before hitting Berlin later in the month.

🔔 Neue künstlerische Co-Leitung des Collegium Novum Zürich 🔔

Alexandre Babel und Joan Jordi Oliver übernehmen ab dem 1. August 2026 die künstlerische Co-Leitung des Collegium Novum Zürich (CNZ).

Der Schlagzeuger, Komponist und Kurator Alexandre Babel war unter anderem Mitglied des Ensemble KNM Berlin und künstlerischer Leiter des Eklekto Geneva Percussion Center. Er entwickelt Projekte, welche die Erwartungen der Zuhörer·innen in Bezug auf die Eroberung neuer Kontexte hinterfragen. In 2021 wurde er mit dem Schweizer Musikpreis ausgezeichnet.

Joan Jordi Oliver ist Saxofonist, Komponist und Kurator. Derzeit ist er künstlerischer Leiter des Ensemble TaG Neue Musik Winterthur und kuratiert die Konzertreihe «Strom am Mittag» sowie verschiedene Projekte an der Schnittstelle von zeitgenössischer, experimenteller und elektronischer Musik.

Mit Alexandre Babel und Joan Jordi Oliver gewinnt das CNZ ein künstlerisches Duo, das neue Musik mit Offenheit für interdisziplinäre Ansätze einem breiteren Publikum zu vermitteln sucht.

Die neue Co-Leitung folgt auf Matthias Arter und Andri Hardmeier, die das künstlerische Profil des CNZ in den vergangenen Jahren mit neuen Formaten und Konzertreihen entscheidend geprägt und weiterentwickelt haben.
Der Vorstand dankt beiden für ihr grosses Engagement und ihre wichtige Arbeit.

Merci à @archipelgeneve pour l'accueil du concert "Drums" par l'@ensemble.0, en trio avec les fantastiques collègues @garinjulien et #stéphanegarin, accompagnés par @alexmaillet64. Créé au #festivalexplore deux semaines plus tôt, le programme a présenté en création les pièces de #micalevi et @clairerousay +le morceau "Drums" de Laurie Spiegel, transcrit pour trois percussionnistes.
Concert à retrouver en tournée dès septembre 2026, dates et lieux à suivre!

Entrez dans le laboratoire de la création musicale !
Les Apéros-Sonores sont des temps de rencontre autour d’un verre offert avec les artistes en résidence de recherche et création à ici l’onde. Venez découvrir le projet Drums de l’ensemble 0 après leur dernière semaine de résidence et deux jours avant la création du spectacle à la Philharmonie de Paris.

Autour d’une réinterprétation instrumentale de Drums, pièce électronique de la pionnière de la scène expérimentale des années 1970 Laurie Spiegel, des créations d’aujourd’hui inspirées par ce dialogue de couleurs percussives à trois. L’ensemble 0 invite deux compositrices pop expé, Mica Levi et Claire Rousay, pour un dialogue entre héritage expérimental et créations sonores contemporaines.
