Hello. My name is Alexandre. Over the last few months, I have been in a season of transition and reflection. I haven’t been on socials, haven’t been to events, just inside. Been wrestling with God on a few different topics, ideas, and faults in my professional and personal life. Starting with my brand Alexandre, I had to take a pause for a little while.  Our SURRENDER collection was great but honestly it felt phony. All my collections are supposed to be crafted to reflect Christ, but this one didnt feel like I was genuinely doing that. It more so felt like I was performing the transformation Jesus gave me and not actually putting my best foot forward how He would want me to. Alexandre the brand is my passion so I will not give up but I need time to reflect and understand the new vision God has for it. And I appreciate everyone supporting and being patient as it is a big part of my walk with the Lord Secondly, I moved to a new place and tbh, moving sucks. That it’s lol But no seriously , while I was packing and moving, I kept saying to myself “wow, how did I forget I had this” or “why don’t I wear this anymore”. And it became a problem I was trying to solve for myself. As im sure most people come across hidden gems in their closet especially during a move.  I do feel like oke of the best feelings when you move to a new spot is building your closet from scratch again. All my fashion heads know its really a science to it lol. But that brought me to the most important question I had, which was..”How can I keep track of my ever growing closet?” I was talking to one of my brother @mixedbycr and he helped me develop an app. Piece By Piece @piecebypiececloset . It allows you to catalog your entire closet from shoes and shirts to hats and accessories, you name it . It’s available on the App Store and I’d love your feedback on it and see if this is something you’d actually use consistently. I’m going to talk more about it as I continue posting. Anyways, the Lord has been organizing my life both spiritually and also in a place that I hold near to me which is fashion. I celebrated turning 27 on the 18th of February in a state of reflection. I wrote a list of things that mattered most in my life and everything pointed back to You. Coming back to God, connecting with family, making meaningful friendships, building a true community, and inspiring the youth. You are in everything that I do and I couldn’t be more grateful. When I was younger, I never cared to celebrate my birthday for a number of reasons I’m sure a therapist would love to hear. But now I understand that my birthday isn’t about me, it’s about You. Deuteronomy 8:18 tells me to remember You because You give me the power to be successful and who I am today. Time has the ability to ruin beauty. Not enough time to flourish. Too much time to think. “Am I even on the right path?” It is the perfect blend of happiness and sadness. Did I wait too long? Did I pour too much in when the time wasn’t right? This is what I think when I think about you. I was under the belief that the greatest sin was Eve eating from the Tree. But maybe it was Adam. For loving Eve more than he should. More than his Father. Does the high come before the low? Or are you low because you were high? I’m still debating this.. The 18 poems in the book are constructed to flow similar to the book of Ecclesiastes. My goal for the design was to make something that could live on a coffee table. The Emotions of Surrender. As I have grown closer to Christ, my faith has been tested and so have my emotions. Joy, sadness, frustration, fear, excitement, bravery, and even love. I learned that I must allow the Spirit of God to heal and operate in the most vulnerable parts of me. The emotions I don’t want to admit I possess. Don’t want to admit are real. I wrote a poetry book that expresses these emotions more. I would love for you to read it.
