POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I posted up a new YouTube video on Thursday, a remake of an older video 'How Nature Journaling Changed My Life'. This year is my 10-year anniversary of starting nature journaling and a big time of stepping up my game as an online creator too.

This particular video has been doing very well, cementing YouTube as very much my primary platform now - I've been very clear on how I hate short form video and won't be jumping on reels (or YouTube shorts) and Instagram has penalised me for that decision by barely showing anyone my posts!

But I'm very happy to say that it's going well again on YouTube, so if anyone who still sees my content here would like to hear my nature journaling story and see inside some of my nature journals from the last 10 years, do head over to YouTube and check it out. And because Instagram will hate me for saying that 😂

When I first started nature journaling ten years ago, I had no idea where it would lead. It has completely changed how I create, how I see the world, how I spend my time outdoors, and even the direction of my career.

On Wednesday 23 September at 6pm UK time, I’m hosting my first ever free live webinar, "My Nature Journaling Story". I’ll share how I got started, what I’ve learned along the way, and how nature journaling became such a big part of my life.

I’ll also be opening a VERY limited number of spaces on my new 10-week nature journaling programme, a “Couch to 5K for nature journalers”, at 50% off for the first group helping me develop the programme.

The webinar recording will be available for 7 days afterwards. Registration link in bio!

Another page done in my microseasons journal. This journal was technically for last year but I'm still plugging away finishing off the gaps. This one represents the first acorns of the year (they were earlier this year than last) on the oak tree in the park near home.

Painted with the Derwent Inktense studio pan set and @skrim_watercolors metallic set.

I am still working in my 2025 microseasons nature journal, trying to fill in the gaps from last summer. This one I made as a demonstration in a collage workshop I was teaching. Hope to finish this project eventually - maybe even this year 😂😆

From a sketching morning with my Dad at Branscombe last week. Hot sun, blue sea, dry grass, and a meadowful of butterflies.

When all the birds from my latest art collection, "Their Golden Song" sold, I was delighted. But also sad I couldn't keep one for my own wall - but then I remembered this print from the limited edition version of "The Book of Birds" by @robgmacfarlane and @jackiemorrisartist and decided to add some yellowhammer song to it in gold. This will be framed for my wall.
