Punishment Park presents:
Marlene Ribeiro (live), Big Leg (live) + Resident DJ’s

Mabgate Bleach
8pm - 3am
06/11

Sound will be provided through the hand-built Maenad soundsystem.

Our first live performer, Marlene Ribeiro of Rocket Recordings, takes a trip across the Calder Valley to join us. Her solo work is nestled within the ethereal world of avant-garde dream-pop. Her music is luscious and almost ritualistic in its psychedelic appeal, a tender incitement to immerse ourselves in her vivid world.

Secondly, Big Leg. Musician, producer, DJ and occasional clown, joining us from Berlin. Rhys’ musical output is certainly eccentric. His solo productions span from scuzzy mutant dubs to junglist, rave-y escapades and much in between. Expect subdued and sultry sonics, blossoming ballads of despair with dubwise and punki inclinations.

You can also expect to hear the full bag of tricks from resident DJs, @rosiegeorgexx and @alexeoo0_0 .

More info to come on all those involved. A big thank you to Ethan for last minute flyer duties, to Ben of Maenad sound-system for agreeing to propel the sound, and a swift recovery to our Swinhoe.

Tickets are available via @mulch.leeds and your early support is greatly appreciated.

This event is unfeasible without general ticket prices starting at £10 but please get in touch if you have to be there and are unable to afford this. taken in Mabgate Bleach by @alexeoo0_0

‧͙⁺˚*･༓☾ Bob & Weave 3rd Birthday Party! ☽༓･*˚⁺‧͙

With our club-home closed, left as nomadic voyagers through Leeds’ fast-coldening nights, things have been a little up in the air at B&W HQ - hence cutting it a little fine with the announcement of this gathering.

But we know there’s no better watering-hole for weary travellers than the fine boating establishment we frequent - @outlawsyachtclub - and no finer tunesmith for the occasion than the Piper from the across the Pennines himself, Bitzer Maloney of @bakk.heia.records infamy.

Joining him will be the well-loved Leeds bards, Jetsam and Frank Kendall, with us two balding court jesters on hand as always.

We bestow much gratitude unto the fair maiden @roseemeraldbee for conjuring up this masterful poster!

Many happy returns and giddy up!!!

An intimate dance affair in the heart of Walyalup featuring @freocast presenters and community focused selectors @ningaloorecords , @alexhowxrd1 and myself.

Let’s celebrate the start of Makuru – as our waterways and catchments fill we'll begin to see eruptions of blueberry lily speckle the Noongar Country we reside on. We will become accustomed once again to cold weather, rains, and shortened days. With nature showing such an outburst sometimes we are forced to shelter together. The intimate upstairs @ronnie_nights_fremantle will be our haven to come together and share in dance, connection and emotion. A space to celebrate Makuru’s dance.

The issue of violence against women, while currently a focus of the media and political space, has long been subdued and every year there are preventable deaths. Whilst we are barely scratching the surface, we have decided to donate our DJ fees in support of this cause to Fremantle Women’s Health Centre, working at the grassroots level. Furthermore, @runningwiththieves have donated a charity keg for the night where the profits will go to Zonta House, a women’s refuge.

This event is free – we would love to share the space and evening with you! We also highly encourage you to donate to Zonta House or Fremantle Women’s Health Centre for what you would normally save on an event ticket. Anything over $2 is tax deductible.

Thank you to @gr33ngurl_33 for the donation of her art and time.

Excited to see you there!

For you love!

PS - if you feel unsafe on the night come and chat to moi (Sacha). I've undertaken RESPECT Training. by @alexeoo0_0
