What looks controlled can hold a surprising sense of freedom. A sharply striped gown and sculptural hat create a striking sense of order, yet within that graphic precision lies movement, sensuality, and unmistakable personality. The tension between restraint and expression gives the silhouette its quiet power.

Among the details of this post is a magazine mockup, offering a glimpse of how the illustration might inhabit an editorial context beyond the page. Also included is one of many studies developed along the way, a sketch whose own character and spontaneity I find particularly compelling.

It's a strange thing, isn't it?
We often feel a strong sense of confidence and hope for our future when we are in the final stages of a long and intense period of pain. There is a kind of magic, a great potential in the air when we feel weakest. It's at this point - just before "the phoenix rises from the ashes" - that a new power emerges, expanding us in a way that opens up unimagined possibilities in our lives.

A love letter to our ability to feel optimism and to our inherent power to transform ourselves.

The natural need to be truly and fully seen and understood is something that connects us all.

When we meet a being that withdraws itself a little in order to be able to see us and our concerns better, this often arouses our distrust and we begin to doubt the intentions of our counterpart. If we are willing to take a closer look at the being in question, we realize that a gift is being given to us.

"#03 The Mimosa's Game – Hide but See" is for the loyal ones, for those who really want to understand, for those who don't judge, for those who want to help and for those who seriously try. For the careful creature within us.

This artwork is part of a series of fashion illustrations created in fall 2022. The series includes three artworks.

Some qualities can only be seen in the presence of their opposite.

A sculptural crocodile coat with an integrated corset evokes structure and control. Yet within that apparent restraint, softness, confidence and individuality become even more distinct. Contrast does not diminish character. It reveals it.

Inspired by the Christian Siriano Fall Winter 26 27 collection.
In the fourth look of my Siriano inspired series, I introduce a deliberate cut at the wrist, underscoring that couture only fully comes alive through the wearer, whose body carries a history shaped by lived experience and personal ruptures, with this cut acting as a quiet marker of one of those defining moments.
