Welcome to the world, little one!

Happy two weeks to our little guy, Zane Paxton Appel!

Even though I birthed him, Jojo has made it abundantly clear he’s her baby. She already loves to read to him, tell me when he needs more boob milk because he has “cry in his eyes,” and share with him all of the adventures they can go on when he‘s bigger. 🫠.

Zane, we love you more than words can describe! We can’t wait to explore life with you!

Alexis and I are thrilled to announce we’re expecting our second child this summer! We are so blessed and excited.

Alexis, you are the most caring and loving Mom. Watching you become such an amazing Mom with Jo has been beautiful to see. This little nugget has no idea how good he (or she) is going to have it. Can’t wait to show him/her!

2022 was a BIG year for our growing family!

Jolie, of course, stole the show. She is such a sweet, curious, and lovable nugget. She’s only 1 and has already been to Florida and California. She’s got big things in store for 2023.

@alexisappel is the best mom and wife anyone could ask for. Your love, devotion, and patience inspires me to be a better person every day.

I did some law and Charleston City Council things, while finding a little time for bird photography, surfing, and “aging gracefully” in the gym.

Please excuse my tardiness; I've been napping 🤪...

Almost two months ago, our hearts grew significantly bigger when we welcomed our little lady, Jolie Colibrí, into this world. ❤️

To say we had no idea what the first few weeks of parenthood would throw our way would be an understatement. Between running on adrenaline and rapid hormonal changes, this 4th trimester has been as humbling as it has been rewarding. It’s taught me a lot about myself, the strength of mama’s, and that we’re not meant to do this alone. IT TAKES A VILLAGE!

THANK YOU to all of our family & friends for the nourishing meals, baby supplies, regular check-ins, breastfeeding guidance, etc. 🙏 We are beyond grateful for your love & unbridled support. Without it, I would have lost my 💩!

Jolie, thank you for making me a mom! I already love you fiercely & unconditionally! I promise to do what I can to help you navigate life, become a kind, curious, strong-willed human, do good in this world, and pave your own path. But, for now, I plan to live in the moment and cherish the newborn phase and all of the snuggles, gummy smiles, & baby velociraptor sounds 😆 that come with it. 🤍💜🤍
