POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Grew up listening to Papa Wemba like all Congolese. His charisma and talent go beyond our culture. Pretty much all of Moonshine’s stuff is coded by Papa Wemba and Viva La Musica.

So when I got the email from Fontana asking me to participate in Kuru’s 10 year celebration—not only on the music side but also to create the artwork for the whole project, it was truly an honour. This is pretty much the only validation I’ve ever needed, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of this series celebrating and cementing our legends.

Release 1 is an EP featuring, first, my crew @moonshine.mu , @pierrekwenders , l’enfant du pays @djrenaldo , and my little brother @o.nego0 . Also featured on this one: Kitty Amor and Osunlade.

Y’all are going to be tired of me because there’s more coming, with even more legends. On reste concentré.

S/o to my partner in crime for trusting me with the vision, @alexiscoutumarion and @badman.bantou for the Halley hoop

C’est l’année du Congo, donc on continue de célébrer.

Dedicating this one to my mom. She would’ve been super proud 🕊️ taken in Village Molokaï by @alexiscoutumarion
