Been listening to ‘Life B4 Me’ a lot lately. It takes me back to a time. Honestly, I LOVE this song from ‘Swim’ and the fact I got to record all those sodding instruments myself without having to answer to anyone or defend my GlockPop to a record label boss in a suit makes me so happy! It reminds me of evenings spent listening to The Knife, @pauldugdale , MySpace and good times x #alexisstrum #swim #lifeb4me #electropop by @alexisstrum

It’s official: Addicted is a new entry at No. 24 in this week’s @officialcharts Record Store Chart! 💿⏺️🎉

A huge thank you to all the incredible record shops across the UK for stocking and supporting this release, and to all of you who picked up a CD or vinyl this week - your support means everything.

It’s been an absolute joy working with Alexis on this project, finally giving Addicted the physical release it should’ve got 23 years ago, and a home in the Official Charts where it belongs. 🙌🏼🩷

Hi new followers and regular gorgeous Strum content consumers! Is that the right term? If grief had a theme tune, I have a suspicion it may sound something like this. Thank you to everyone who is listening to ‘Swim’ and feeling something. Losing someone to Alzheimer’s is what we refer to as ‘the long goodbye’ and losing mum was a very hard few years- a rollercoaster really. I’m trying not to fixate on grief with my content on here because you know, it’s soooo not my aesthetic, but I’m in it and I’m not sure how i will get through it, if at all. I do wanna stay positive though so I would like to signpost @thegoodgrieftrust and @alzheimerssoc - also please follow @richard.e.grant for his undeniable candour and @gregwiseofficial who has written a book on grief. Also my sister @care.to.remember is doing some awesome stuff in the Alzheimer’s memory book space. Finally find friends like @michellefordofficial who you can talk to about the hard stuff without judgement. Friends will be your salvation xxx #grief #griefandgratitude #griefanthem by @alexisstrum

📣Writers! Musicians! Artists! As you know, I’m a songwriter who writes a Substack and I’ve just hit a milestone of over 1k subscribers! To celebrate, on my next blog on November 9th I want to feature YOU and do a proper writer’s lift/shout out. Please drop your Substack BELOW so I can share your ruddy greatness with the world. And if you aren’t already writing your long form meandering human and messy thoughts on Substack, what the heck ARE you doing with your lives, eh? Hehe Thank you, Alexis x by @alexisstrum

I love filming my @spotifyuk Spotify Wrapped video every year since I’ve been back popstar-ing again! I’m still incredulous that I get to do this and I get to have people listen to my music after such a long break. Fifteen years to be exact. I went full glam in my front room for my 2026 Spotify Wrapped one and the video will be dropping soon. I’m always super excited to see who’s been a top fan each year and who will end up on Santa’s Good List obvs x by @alexisstrum
