From dramatic powder rooms to lake views and marble moments — I’m just out here chasing good light and pretending I don’t want to live in every single one of these homes.

From layered living rooms to sculptural marble islands and color-heavy dining moments — this one was about balance. Clean architecture, bold art, strong stone, and light doing most of the work.

An entryway that wasn’t really an entryway.

Originally, this space was completely open to the kitchen. We created some much-needed delineation with a cased opening that frames the kitchen sightline beautifully, while borrowing space from an adjoining closet to create a little alcove for seating — tucked safely out of the way of the front door swing.

Then came the details: a sculptural head detail, floral-silhouette sconces, and old-world-inspired tile that make this entryway feel like it was always meant to be here.

One of those spaces where a few thoughtful architectural moves completely changed how the home lives.

THE POWDER ROOM, SMALL BUT MIGHTY

The powder room is where we give ourselves permission to push the design a little further.
A smaller footprint creates the opportunity to be more expressive with material, scale, contrast, and detail.

✨️ Modern Farmhouse ✨️

Dark, warm, and timeless.

This space is all about the details — rich cabinetry, traditional construction, natural stone, and warm brass hardware coming together to create a pantry that feels refined without being overdone.

Custom cabinetry should feel like it belongs to the home, not simply installed in it.

Designed to last. Built to be lived in.

Is it just me or have kids rooms & wardrobes received a serious upgrade since when I was a kid?!

This sweet, soulful bedroom is a perfect haven for these adorable sisters and was a total surprise for them after a big move 💕

I’ve been keeping a little part of The Tablescape Series project quiet.

Alongside each dinner, each table, and each colour, I have been working on something that would allow the entire year to live beyond the final evening.

The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour.

A book documenting all twelve chapters of the series through photography, menus, design, collaborators, and the stories behind each table, including recipes from every dinner by my co-creator of the series, @kateglevitt .

What began as a series of dinners slowly became a record of an entire year: what inspired each colour, what we created around it, the people who brought it to life, and everything that happened in between.

These are a few of the photographs I created with the incredible @alexlukey for the cover and opening pages of the book, and it feels very special to finally share them.

The Tablescape Series: Stories of Colour will launch on October 3 as part of the final Tablescape Series celebration, bringing all twelve colours together for one last evening.

There is still one final table to go, which means the book will be heading to press on a fairly heroic timeline. But if this series has proven anything, it is that some of its best moments have come together under a slightly unreasonable time crunch. Copies will be available to purchase at the event, assuming the printing gods remain on our side.

Tickets for the October 3 celebration go live this Saturday, August 15.

We really hope you’ll be there to celebrate the final chapter with us. 🤍 taken in Toronto, Ontario by @alexlukey

A little secret hiding inside the September issue of @houseandhomemag … 👀

There’s a preview of the upcoming KITCHENS + BATHS special issue, and yes, that’s Riverside Glade on the cover!!

Still slightly surreal seeing one of our projects there. Our second cover feature!

The special issue is available to preorder now, link in bio.

The little details in the kids’ rooms ended up being some of my favourite frames from the shoot.
