dedicated to Mark - our poster boy and one of our suspended residents, who is no longer with us. Thanks for all the love from everyone who watched since we made this, the messages, the convos, the festivals who gave us a platform for this film. It was overwhelming and genuinely means the world.🥺

what’s happened to the residents now? In short: most have been evicted and demolition work has begun. There has been some progress where the council have found a way to prioritise lettings for ex-residents to move back to the estate once it’s been re-developed (with conditions), which I don’t think would have happened without the community’s fight back. I said when we screened the final film to the residents, that regardless of what happens, this film captures a moment in time when people came together to fight for what was right, which is a beautiful thing.

This project relied on so many people coming together during the height of covid in freezing temperatures, big love to all the heroes who believed.

mad mad mad. our short HALF WAY premiered at @leedsfilmfest and won Best British Short Film 🤯

we deffo weren’t expecting this, this is v special not just because it’s in the best city on earth !!! but this festival first got me into filmmaking when I was younger

based on my time working in an ex-offenders hostel.. inspired by the lives of real people. despite them being in difficult situations I found them really funny and wanted to share that humour. huge thanks to the cast and crew which made this whole process a joy and bfi always 🙏

a lot of love for each and everyone here, I’m still on cloud 9 feeling inspired beyond belief and very blessed to have met such amazing people, moments like this feel truly like a movie.
