4 days in The Netherlands🇳🇱🎣

Last week we had an amazing trip to The Netherlands targeting pike, perch and especially zander.

On the first day we drove to Amsterdam for some streetfishing and ended up catching a few small zanders and perch. We also found a spot on our way to the beautiful city that ended up being the most important spot on the trip but more about that coming…

The second day we drove to Utrecht and fished a lot of water and after a bit of fishing we found that single bridge we were looking for. August caught a 40+ cm perch and Alfred got a nice zander and a good perch too. In the end of the day we drove to the spot that produced on the first day and Alfred got a really good zander, just what we came for!

Day 3 we drove up north for some pike fishing and ended up catching 4 nice pike even though we had some tough fishing so a super nice pike day.

Day 4 was all about spot hopping and we expected this day to be the best… but it wasn’t, we didn’t catch much but Oliver still managed to get a 40+ cm perch, and in the end, August caught a nice zander a perfect ending to a tough day.

After all a good trip with tons of memories on the bank.

August, Oliver and Alfred broke their pb zanders and after all it was what we came for.

Stats:
14 zanders
18 pikes
4 good sized perch

Weight PB!!

After almost a year with an official weight pb at 1740 g i’ve finally beaten it!

I was out on a short session after school targeting giant perch and again, i succeeded!

After about 30 minutes of fishing i made a far cast out in an open area and after a few retrieves in the middle of a spin stop, i got a really heavy bite. My drag began screaming and i immediately knew it was a giant.

After a hectic fight and a really risky landing, i finally got it up.

This beast measured 49 cm and 1760 g so just 20 g bigger than my last pb!

Now i’ve caught 11 perch over 47 cm in the last year and still haven’t managed to break the 2 kg mark, pretty frustrating, but i’m not gonna stop grinding!

2 beautiful fat crocs from The Netherlands trip that absolutely smashed the @savage_gear_official deviator tail! One of my absolute favourites for these aggressive specimens🐊

Inhaled the cannibal!

Beautiful autumn perch that absolutely inhaled the cannibal shad from @savage_gear_official in the middle of a big school of roach.

Super fun on the ultra light especially when it’s a big one!

41 cm🍒

First zander from The Netherlands!

On the first day on our way to Amsterdam we saw this nice looking bridge while the car was charging🔋

Only a few jumps on the first cast and then, BOOM the perfect start to the trip!

This one smashed the cannibal shad from @savage_gear_official twice!

First night 40+ of the season!

Finally the colder days are coming and the perch have moved over to the regular spots and as usual the big ones starts to fead when the dark arrives🌌

This one couldn’t resist a slowly fished dragon tail slug from @savage_gear_official rigged on a 5 g cheb-rig a lure that has been producing really good on the tougher days.

When 1 fish saves the day!

I was out on a quick solo session and the fishing was super tricky and the fish were almost impossible to get to bite. I tried jigs, twitch baits and dropshot and only caught a few small fish, but after a lot of searching i finally found the fish i was after.

On the first cast on a new spot after a lure change she finally struck!

This beauty that hammered the @savage_gear_official fat minnow t-tail measured 45 cm. Just what i needed!

The perch season has kicked on!

The perch are really starting to get active now and i’ve had some really good fishing lately and have already caught some nice fish including this chunk🍒

This one smoked the @savage_gear_official fat minnow t-tail in the colour motor oil UV a jig that have been producing some nice fish lately.

The perfect perch!

Tough fishing on a really windy day with @fishingwitholiver but after a lot of fighting i finally felt a proper strike💥!

After a hard fight and a lot of panic we finally got it up for a few pictures and then, straight back out💫

In my opinion a perfect perch measuring 40 cm and 1000 g🍒

Absolutely hammered the slug!

Really tough day of perch fishing with super slow fish.

After some fishing with a jig, i switched over to a free-rig with a dragon tail slug from @savage_gear_official and not long after, this beauty slammed it when i least expected it!

47 cm beauty🤩🍒

I was out on a quick solo session after school trying to get a big perch.

It delivered a very small bite but a very hard fight💫

Even though this beauty was 47 cm and 1640 g it was not the biggest i caught that day!
