I’m delighted to be training a growing network of green sketching ambassadors, here in the UK and overseas.

Check out their wonderful profiles on my website (link in bio) to see if there’s a green sketching ambassador near you.

Together, we’re on a mission to help people of all ages reconnect with nature, creativity and themselves. I think we’d all agree, it’s a joy and privilege to help so many people see nature with fresh eyes. 💚🌍✍️

If you’re passionate about art, nature and wellbeing and are interested in becoming a green sketching ambassador, DM me for further details. I’d love to hear from you!

Autumn Green Sketching Session in Whitewebbs Park - the Guardians of Whitewebbs' fifth event with Sharon Drew 🌱🎨

We are so excited to announce that artist Sharon Drew will be hosting another free sketching with us in Whitewebbs Park on Saturday, 24th October 2026, from 11:00AM-12:30PM.

🎫 Please book your FREE tickets via the link in our bio (there are only a limited number).

Our last four sessions together were truly wonderful experiences - see our 'Events' highlight on Instagram to view videos and photos of our past events.

These sessions are a way of celebrating the wonder of Whitewebbs. This different approach to art is all about the connection with nature, using experimental drawing techniques. We will sit under the majestic redwoods like last time, which are not far from the Café (directions below). 🌲🖌️

ℹ️ Find out more about Green Sketching in The Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2020/nov/04/drawing-trip-sketching-in-lockdown-epping-forest-london and watch Ali Foxon's TED Talk: https://youtu.be/YMuZjg7l7Wg

Green Sketching is particularly suited to beginners or those who lack confidence in drawing; the process and experimental attitude is key rather than the end result. However, those with more experience are also welcome to explore this approach to outdoor sketching. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Materials will be provided. Sessions will run whatever the weather - appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended. ☀️ We look forward to seeing you there! 💚

🗺️ Directions: we have noticed that Google Maps can take you on a much longer route than is necessary. Please, especially when coming by public transport, enter your destination as "Beggars Hollow, Enfield, EN2 9JN". This short road will take you to Whitewebbs Café, where this event will start. This means that you can take the most direct route. 📍

We’re on a slow, patient mission to turn this area into a wildflower meadow. It’s home to an increasing number of mice, voles, moles, a shy little stoat and a bouncy poodle. 💚 by @ali_foxon

Art. Peat. People.

We’re proud to host this very special @yorkshirepeatpartnership_ art installation at the Nethergill Farm Nature Barn.

The exhibition brings together artists, communities and researchers to explore the story of peatlands — the landscapes that quietly hold vast amounts of carbon, shape our uplands, and support incredible biodiversity across the @yorkshiredales.

Through art, the project invites us to see peat differently. Not just as ground beneath our feet, but as a living archive of culture and landscape.

The exhibition is open throughout spring and summer directly on the Dales Way. So whether you're passing through on a long walk, exploring the Dales, or making a special trip, you’re very welcome to drop in and take a look.

Slow down, step inside, and see the uplands through a new lens.

We all have mental health needs!

Some are complex and very serious, some include not feeling quite right. Whatever challenges we all have there are proactive ways of supporting our individual mental wellbeing needs.

For me it’s drawing, being outside in nature and hiking.

Even the process of choosing a spot to sit, getting my materials out and pawing over the view before I start a drawing is mindful.

What’s your go to when supporting your mental wellbeing?

I would love to know. Sharing your ideas might just be that tip someone needs.

I would love to know your thoughts ⤵️
