Hey there!

I want to take this space to say that I am so thankful to those who I have worked with these past 4 years. I am grateful to be able to show up in this way as a career and that you have given your trust to this type of bodycare, thank you!

As a practitioner, I have always integrated these techniques into sessions based on client need, knowing that massage alone is fantastic, but layering on these approaches provides something more. Additionally, these modalities are endless, always teaching and directing and I am always eager to learn more and share.

These sessions are not concrete or routinely timed, but are designed for clients to respond in the moment, integrating the techniques used as they need them and finding nuances along the way. Different tones, textures, temperatures, and skilled intention help create opportunities for wellness beyond just a basic massage. They help you find something more. ✨️

Oh wow ✨️

One more week! This place has rocked my world and my understanding of care in outstanding ways, I really can't describe it.
I am so grateful to have been a full part of this season and I am looking forward to bringing this magic home to practice @convent_detroit

Hey, hi, and hello! 👋

I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself as it's been some time. Like all of us in some way I am sure, I've kinda just been lurking around what makes up the systems of the algorithm while I'm out here working with people, so I wanted to send out a fresh face (although not current as the blonde hair journey is still going strong) 👍

My name is Alison (you can call me Ali) and I have been a licensed massage therapist for 5 years, which is likely why you're here! I am back in school to study physical therapy and ultimately earn an associates degree as a PTA, and will still keep massage as a primary part of my practice.

My favorite approaches to bodywork include sports massage, table stretching, nervous system reintigration, cupping, and trigger point therapy, although I am always still eager to learn and try new modalities.

I approach my sessions with integrity, listening for what it is you need with an open mind and curiosity. I love what it is I do and truly feel this profession has helped me understand how to be a people, and so I am always happy and grateful to share that information with you in the form of bodycare.

Sometimes new opportunities come at you loud and roaring. Other times, they're woven in a sincere suggestion and meaningful conversation. This is one of those times ✨️

I remember when this place was first being built and realizing what a genuinely great idea it was to have around. Now that I have been inside @fourthtrisanctuary, one can feel the impact it has made to the community of mothers, practitioners, experts, and infants that come here. It is an incredibly loving, calm, and accomidating space to be in.

Thank you @bombshellmelissa for having room in this beautiful sanctuary to provide services. Working alongside the staff and spending time with the mothers here has already taught me so much about myself and practice that I am eager to share; I look forward to the time ahead and being a part of the team! taken in Fourth Tri Sanctuary by @ali_lmt12

Update: time change!

Finding your shoulders up to your ears as you head back into school? Tension headaches behind your eyes from screen time? Looking like a cooked shrimp sitting over a desk?
(Had to be said, haha!)

I'll be back at my favorite spot offering complimentary chair massages Wednesdays in September! @cafe1923_hamtramck + empathizing with you - I'm heading back to class for a PTA degree!

Be sure to grab a chair massage along with your caffeine fix! Clients on my email list will be receiving $2 off your drink order as well, so be sure to check your inboxes soon!

Michigan Renaissance Festival season!

The @michrenfest will always have my heart!

I am thankful to say I'll be massaging with a fantastic group of LMTs all season long every Saturday (+ Labor Day and Festival Friday).

Thank you Tina @coolassdetroitstuff for hosting us and giving people the opportunity to get a lil TLC from @nashara_powerhands and I!
