🌳 Projected onto the Canada Malting Silos, this immersive artwork transforms street-tree data into light and sound, revealing the interconnected rhythms of Toronto’s urban forest. A living portrait of slow, ongoing growth, it invites us to imagine the city not as it is, but as it could become.

🌿 Decomposition No. 7: Undergrowth by Ali Phi is curated and presented in partnership with The Bentway, as part of SILO NIGHTS curated by OCAD University.

On view at Public Pier, a collaboration between The Bentway, Harbourfront Centre, OCAD University and the Waterfront BIA, with the Toronto Port Authority as lead sponsor.

In this exhibition, where light, movement, and digital processes intersect, the aesthetics of the unseen are revealed. We’re excited to announce our first Toronto TouchDesigner meetup of 2025, happening Tuesday, March 18th!

Join us for a lively gathering of TouchDesigner enthusiasts, where we’ll share projects, passions, and maybe a few obsessions during an evening of talks from community stars.

Our presenters for the evening are the renowned artist Ali Phi known for his innovative use of generative systems and interactive media, TouchDesigner expert & educator Elburz Sorkhabi, founder of The HQ, and a leading resource in the TD community, and developer & technologist Dom Scott, co-creator of the MediaPipe plugin for TouchDesigner. More info about the presenters and what they will be sharing with us below.

Doors open at 6:00pm, presentations run 6:45-9:00pm, followed by refreshments and conversation until 10:30pm.

Thrilled to present an updated edition of this project, “DATUM” in collaboration with @soy_el_ekeko, celebrating its 10th anniversary since the first premiere of II, one of my early spatial installations and also bringing the 5th edition of @noxteproject, traveling from the east to the west.
