Two silly goosers decide to hike the length of the country…
And they did it.
August 27th, 2025. 🪿🪿
We are beyond grateful for this 5 month adventure. What a transformative experience. Words can’t fully express what it’s been like, but we’ve got another 15 weeks of blogs to tell you alllll about it! (They’ll be up soon, everything feels so surreal right now and we’re enjoying some much needed rest).
Thank you to the friends, trail angels and crews who kept us going. This trail would not be as amazing as it is without the kindness of the community.

ahhhhh, 2025. sweet, sweet 2025. the year I shaved my head, hiked the length of America and spent more time sleeping outside than inside. the year I said yes to forever with my love! we moved to New Zealand a few weeks ago after spending a wonderful few months on the east coast with family. I feel blessed to have been there to say goodbye to my incredible and loving grandmother. this is first year I’ve ever felt sad to leave behind, but I know there’s lots to look forward to. what a beautiful life with such amazing people and a true bummer to have a 20 picture limit ❤️ by @alicali16

Two hikers set out to walk from Mexico to Canada. What carried them wasn’t an achievement mark, but the discipline of showing up, day after day. Ali and Noah set foot on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in the spring of 2025 with a simple goal: walk to Canada. They did not carry an elaborate vision of the finish. Instead, they focused on what it would take to keep moving. Once they told friends and family they were going, the decision hardened. Quitting was no longer part of the equation. “Together we ruminated on what the trail would be like. We decided in January of 2024, so we had a little over a year to prepare,” Ali says, “The main focus was preparing mentally. We both were absolutely set on finishing, and we didn’t want anything to stop us from reaching the Canadian border…”

It’s a special thing to have a grandparent be as important to you as your immediate family.
Our grandmother was that and more. She made a commitment and forged a relationship with us that we will carry in our hearts for the rest of our lives. She taught us hospitality, family values and tradition. She attended baseball games, dance recitals, every single one of our birthdays and both of our college graduations. She showed up over and over again, and in turn we showed up for her. Those who know us knew her because of how proud we were to talk about her and the values she instilled in us.
Today Nonnie celebrates her first heavenly birthday. She would have been 102 and angry that we’re telling you her age.
We are grateful for all of it - every summer down the shore, trip to Hoffman’s Ice Cream and Spike’s Restaurant and walk around the block with Pepper, the dog who added years to her life.
We feel a great sadness that she is gone. Over a century of life to celebrate, but it doesn’t make it hurt any less. We will carry her legacy forever, and we will look for her in every cardinal, beautiful sky and shoreline we cross.
