If you told me as a sophomore showing my first goat that in just 2 short years, that I’d be bringing home consistent buckles and banners from shows, I never would have believed you.
Showing livestock built my character in ways I could’ve never imagined. In my time showing goats and lambs I learned the value of time, how to carry myself professionally, so much confidence, good sportsmanship, and so many more life lessons which I will never forget.
Although I may not have had the chance to win my county or major shows or go to the big name shows I’ve dreamed of going to since before I had livestock such as the Arizona National or NIALE, I’d like to this that my show career was very successful in its own.
In just 3 short years, I went from not even knowing the gender of my market goat, to winning multiple showmanship and market classes across multiple shows. I couldn’t have done it without the goat who taught me everything on how to care for and create a bond with my animals, the crazy natty and doe that pushed me out of my comfort zone every day, and lastly, the boys who taught me to work hard, value my time, and prove everyone wrong. Thank you to the animals that built me, Pistol, Bo, Daisy, Texas Red, and Royston I am so grateful for the opportunity to not only raise you, but grow with you. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the long nights, early mornings, and countless hours spent at the barn.
Even though my time as a showman has expired, I will be eternally grateful for each and every second I had in the ring and I look forward to creating my own path in the agricultural industry…

I’m sad to say that my last county show came and went so fast but I’ll always be grateful for the memories I made, and for the people that support me. 💛 by @alice.woolery
