This is long overdue.. ADMIN REVEAL PT1

Hello! I am Alice and I am the face behind alicedoestats.
I thought I’d do a cheeky admin reveal since I finally did a tattoo shoot thanks to my friend @song_of_light 💫.
If you’re new here, I am a hand poke tattoo artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, and this is my 6–7th year tattooing. I wanted to make this post because I never ever would’ve thought that I could actually support myself through doing something I absolutely love – that being said, it took me years to really start believing in myself and take that leap, and finally be able to stop saying that “I only tattoo on the side, it’s just a hobby.”

This is my first year tattooing full time. I had enough of job hopping just to find myself somewhere I disliked even more, working for people that didn’t respect me, so I quit altogether in July this year. Only a few months in and I’ve already met incredible people, and if you’ve ever gotten a tattoo from me, I am endlessly grateful. For independent artists like us, support in any way can mean a great deal. I’ve heard incredible stories from you, brainstormed and worked on beautiful ideas with you, left pieces of my art that mean something to YOU on YOU – I’ll always be humbled by experiences like this.
