Thank you cute hoomans who are adopting my hooman's spindles 😻 she is happy and I am happy because she buys me kibble. I like my kibble.
Me thinks the colorful spindles have all found homes. But me knows there is the antique Italian drop spindles who are waiting to be used by the spinners, hooman has way too many, you know? I know because she put them on the high shelf I can't reach...for now *kitty cackle* by @alicesavage

You all. After so many months away from the lathe, I was scared to approach it again.
What if I had forgotten how to work on it? 😱
But another heatwave is over, and I pushed past the fear and walked in the shed.
I am still able to make spindles it seems! 😂 by @alicesavage

I am Alice and I am a sketchbook addict.
I draw way more in a sketchbook than I do on other surfaces. The sketchbook is my safe place, my refuge, my little sacred friend that holds all the little pieces of my soul that I pour in it. It’s a journal, a memory drawer, a place to experiment, something to find calm in when the soul is troubled.
I also happen to really, really like my iPad, but I was missing that sketchbook feeling.
So I went and made a setup in Procreate that allows you to have a sketchbook, cover, pages, papers and all.

Letters from the Heart is my super small, super beloved Snail Mail Club. I had to pause it because life, but I am so happy it's back now 🩷 I love to plan and plot every one, hand draw the letter, decide which prints and things go in it. Hello lovely people 🩷 I have news!
I am working more and more with my art, in many media, so I decided it was time to give it some more breathing space.
Going forward, this feed will be dedicated to spindles mostly. I will do the random art post, but I see that my spindles are the main reason why people find me and follow me here.
I created a new account @volpelunart where I will share only my art adventures, and, if you are interested in them, it would make me very happy if you decided to give me a follow and say hi!

Going forward, the Art for the Soul // Alice Savage newsletter will be dedicated to the spindles shop updates. I will give hints about the rest at first, but in general if you want art related news, I am using the Substack newsletter for that.
