Find Calm In Five - Cesca’s interview in @womensfitnessuk August issue🤍 by @alignbycesca

my depuff yoga routine - which you can do seated!
🌿

A few ancient Ayurvedic and Hatha practices I come back to whenever I feel bloated

1 Bhastrika breath, to wake up digestion (only do on an empty stomach)
2 Udara abhyanga, a clockwise belly massage (I use @spaceylonofficial sandalwood oil, which is traditionally calming and cooling in Ayurveda) thank you @tishtashtalks ✨
3 Seated twists, to release and reset
4 Gentle hip circles
5 Stillness and belly breathing

Save this whenever you feel bloated ✨

energy is your greatest currency - alignment comes from within 🧚✨🔮 by @alignbycesca

You don’t need an hour to feel less stiff, less stressed and more regulated. Your yoga practice can be just 5 minutes🤍

Save this for the mornings you think you don’t have time

I heard you wanted to learn side crow! This 20 minute class breaks it down through twists and balance.

Lying on the floor, breathing and humming is my favourite simple way to draw myself out of an anxious spiral.

Bhramari (aka bee breath) is a yogic pranayama. Traditionally the mudra includes a practitioner covering their face and ears to withdraw from all external senses. But when I’m anxious I prefer having my hands by my side or over my belly.

The gentle vibration of humming stimulates the vagus nerve, a long nerve running from your brain through your throat to your gut, which plays a big role in helping your body relax.

Combine that with long, slow exhales and you shift into your parasympathetic nervous system (your body’s rest and digest state). The moment you start to feel calm ✨

Save this for when you need it, and send it to a friend who might too 🤍

Bhastrika Pranayama boosts physical energy, strengthens the respiratory and nervous systems, clears nasal congestion, and sharpens mental focus by maximising oxygen flow to the brain 🧠

The answer to a more energised and focused day!

Your body’s been rushing all day and you didn’t even notice.

A 30 second nervous system reset you can do anywhere: at your desk, in traffic, before a hard conversation 🫶🏼 Save this for the next time you feel wired, and send it to someone who’s been holding it all in 🤍

A personal update 🤎 by @alignbycesca

Have you ever felt a pull toward Reiki, or a quiet curiosity
about the world of energy work - even if you couldn’t explain
why?

That pull is usually the first sign ✨

After your Reiki attunement (Reiju), your connection to Reiki life force energy stays with you forever. It becomes a part of you and can often change how you approach life. For me, it was like putting on saturation sunglasses for the first time - the same life, but suddenly more vivid and full of love.

Introducing Shoden - your first attunement.

What you can expect from Usui Reiki 1:

- The history and origins of Reiki
- The core principles that guide the practice
- Your attunement - the moment your connection to this energy
opens

A practice you carry with you for the rest of your life, not
just for two days

This is align’s first certification training, held small and in-person - 6 people, October 3-4, Dubai. 2,500 AED.

If you’ve felt that pull, this might be your sign.
