Somehow this made me realize I’ve lived about five different lives in the past ten years. Turns out it got me to the most ‘me’ I have ever been. 🧚🌀

2025 - spent most of the year working and living on a tiny island in the Maldives
2024 - probably spent more time underwater than on land
2023 - started dedicating more time to my passion for the ocean and capturing it
2022 - what would be my last year living and working in vienna (for now)
2021 - lived to work and worked to live (no regrets though)
2020 - decided to move to vienna because of covid instead of moving abroad again
2019 - living alone navigating lockdown, finishing my master’s degree and working 24/7
2018 - not sure what to title this era?
2017 - moved to Sweden to work in fashion
2016 - last days of good old blogger life
2015 - mini me living and striving in London after graduating high school by @alinareinisch

Still dreaming about Komodo’s coral reefs and macro life hidden beneath the waves. 🪸

Sometimes it still feels so surreal thinking about all these impactful underwater moments. For so long diving has been my yearly escape of daily life. Now it has become my daily routine, allowing me to share this passion with so many individuals, immersing into a beautiful parallel universe hidden beneath the surface. 🫧 taken in Komodo National Park by @alinareinisch

Oh how I miss starting my days underwater, capturing wildlife encounters and reefs across Indonesia. 🐙 This year I finally conquered one of my personal biggest “what ifs”, setting the life I built (and still enjoy very much 💘) back home completely on hold for a few months to finally follow a lifelong dream of mine: Dedicating most of my days to the ocean and diving while capturing the beauty of both. 🪸 Aaaand i would do it all over again! 🐬 taken in Komodo National Park by @alinareinisch

I’M OFFICIALLY A DIVE INSTRUCTOR! 🥹

Still cannot believe I am typing this right now. Becoming an instructor has been a long-time dream (or rather idea?) in the back of my mind and I finally made it happen. 🌀

Thanks to everyone who was involved in my diving journey so far, developing me all the way to actually becoming an instructor. I not only shared the water with some amazing wildlife this year but also with some incredible human beings who kept inspiring me and taught me so much about our oceans. I learned a ton about different scientific approaches, species and our reefs and was even trusted to produce dive content for some amazing corporations along the way.

At this point I don’t know what the near future will hold yet but I get excited even thinking about being given the opportunity to take someone diving for the first time in their life and introduce people to the wonders of our oceans. It’s such a privilege when you actually get to share your passion with others. 🐬
