EUROPEAN CHAMPION 🥇🇫🇮

Still trying to realise what happened yesterday. ❤️

So proud to bring the gold medal home to Finland.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.

And a special thank you to my partners for making this journey possible.

Everything was set up for me today to support success, and that was absolutely what we set out to achieve.

Unfortunately, something happened at the beginning of the race and my journey came to an early end.

When you’ve worked hard day after day towards something and then your expectations aren’t met, of course it hurts❤️‍🩹

Thank you to my team for being there through the highs and the lows.

Alisa all the way 💙 🇫🇮 The Flying Finn, @alisavainio , took off from the gun and led the whole marathon. A new championship record, and the biggest winning margin the European Championships has ever seen. Always shining bright - today, even brighter. by @alisavainio
