Great weekend in Croyde for our annual uni reunion.

Activities included: a coastal run around Baggy Point; sauna and cold plunge overlooking Putsborough Beach; a great breakfast wrap at Biffen’s Kitchen; beach games and surfing; coasteering near Ilfracombe; and a delicious Sri Lankan curry from The Beach Cafe and Sunset Bar.

Plus plenty of 🍻 and a bbq! A memorable trip! by @aljt201

A belated few pics from the final week of our staycation in Aberdovey with Mom & Dad. The weather was hit & miss but managed to fit in some coastal/hill running, golf, walking at Ynyshir Nature Reserve and a even covid friendly drive-in cinema in a very muddy field! taken in Aberdovey, Gwynedd by @aljt201

The middle part of our staycation was a trip to Cornwall with @_tandrews & @ninaaninaj where we did some incredible coastal walking and had some great meals out (Gurnard’s Head was 👌). taken in Charlestown, Cornwall by @aljt201

A great start to our staycation... We spent 3 nights in Exmoor, following in the footsteps of Mom & Dad who honeymooned here once upon a time. Did plenty of walking along the coast, in ancient woodland and along some stunning rivers (managed a swim at a great spot too). taken in Lynmouth-Devon by @aljt201

It’s hard to imagine what I put myself through over the last 6 days, especially on Thursday and Friday which were brutally tough at times. But I got through it all and completed the 253km ultramarathon! What an amazingly beautiful island! Kudos to all the other runners too and also to the support staff who helped nurse us back to health at the end of every day! Finally, we have just under a £100k to go as a team to raise the £250k needed to build two homes to rehabilitate victims of Modern Slavery. Thanks to those who donated during the last week while I was running and for those who’d like to support this great cause, the link to my page is in my bio. ✌️ #triberunforlove @tribefreedomfoundation @the_tribe_way taken in Ponta Delgada, Azores by @aljt201

This is what I have to look forward to come Day 6 of the @the_tribe_way Run for Love 3 ultra next week which culminates in a half marathon around a volcanic ridge - the rest of it won’t be half bad and I hope this will distract me from the inevitable fatigue. Thanks to those who have donated so far to this great cause ( @tribefreedomfoundation ) - reports of Modern Slavery are still coming up in the news far too often but the team are doing their best to fight it! If you’d like to donate, please check out the link in my bio. #triberunforlove #fuelledbytribe by @aljt201

In just over 2 weeks, I’ll be taking on the biggest physical challenge of my life by running 256km over 6 days on a mountainous island in the Azures. Training has been hard and it culminated in running 71km over 2 days which was hard enough. The event itself will be more than treble this, with 6 times the ascent of these runs and with 4 days of wild camping (no showers and dehydrated food for nourishment!). As you know, I’m running it for a great cause and if you can spare some of your hard earned money, please donate via the page in my bio. Cheers 👌. by @aljt201

What a great weekend that was in Cornwall and a bucket list item ticked off by running from Penzance to St Ives. The first day was incredibly tough in what felt like 50mph winds for much of the day but the second was much calmer and meant I could enjoy the amazing scenery much more. Thanks to @astynan for driving me around and for keeping me company during my downtime. Only one big training weekend to go before the big ultramarathon itself and that’ll be a gruelling 50 miles over a weekend. If you’d like to learn more about the event and to donate to the great cause we are raising money for, please follow the link in my bio. taken in Land's End, Cornwall, Great Britain by @aljt201

When you’re training for a 253km ultramarathon, you have to do silly things like doing a marathon (Clarendon) as a training run and then back it up with a long run next day too. That was just under 60km covered in a couple of days and I’m feeling it now. I’m running it for charity as I said before and I’d be most grateful if you could make a donation - the link to my page is in my bio and thanks to those who have already donated. Next up... 41 miles and 3200m of ascent running the epic Penzance to St Ives coastal track over 2 days! taken in Winchester, Hampshire by @aljt201
