When we developed SpeedLock308, the thinking was simple, how much of a floodlight installation can we complete before the electrician even steps onto the ladder?

The answer? A lot more.

Partnering with the @wiskaukltd COMBI 308, SpeedLock308 allows the floodlight to be mounted and prepared at ground level, meaning less time working at height, fewer holes in the wall and, in the right installation, just one trip up the ladder.

We have added the details that make a difference on the job too. Tool-less Quick-Lock nuts, pre-marked mounting points and packaging that doubles as a drilling template all help keep the process quick and straightforward.

A simple idea, but one that can make a real difference to how the job gets done.

Missed the SpeedLock308 launch? Here's the catch-up.

One question shaped the whole design: how much of a floodlight installation can be finished before the ladder even comes off the van?

Quite a lot, as it turns out. Developed in collaboration with @wiskaukltd and designed around the COMBI 308, SpeedLock308 lets the fitting be mounted and prepared at ground level, with the load carried by a fixing through the base of the bracket straight into the wall.

One month in, here's what installers are getting:

• Build and prepare at ground level
• One ladder trip, in the right installation
• Fewer holes in the wall, each one pre-marked
• Packaging that doubles as a drilling template
• Tool-less Quick-Lock nuts
• Neater rear cable management
