Well a sad end to my 2026 racing year with some big goals left 😣. 2027 will probably be a grey area as to if i will be able to start the @ironmansouthafrica MosselBay but for now just to take step for step i guess. A full ACL TEAR with a bucket handle tear of the meniscus puts me on sideline for 6-9months but I'll challenge it to 4months🙄😅 #triathlon #sport #injuries #doomsday by @allanbritnell

@race2thesun done and dusted.... 😬😎

Sjoe haven't done a proper race dynamic cycling race with these speeds in forever, 🤯🤯 unforgiving pace, no camaraderie , dodgy lines but i LOVED IT😬

The goal was simple , Sub5h 😋 perfect timing i think😅🤷🏼‍♂️ ,,, lost the group 40km in with a small mechanical, then it was survival till the end , next year i will prepare better and hopefully line up at the start healthy..

Well done to all that took part in this fast and furious race 🫡

16 weeks of dedication,sacrifice,early mornings, double sessions,determination, just to be over in 9Hrs 30mins 😬😬 , extremely happy with how the day went,

🏊‍♂️ was choppy and i found it more tough than expected, 1h04min

🚴 was good , wind was of sort that it did not help you either way out or back, so grinding the pedals to get speed was the order of the day. I had to push the reset button on the 2nd lap of 60km as my numbers were to high and i knew if i did not do so i will pay heavily for it on the run 🙄 Time : 4h:59min

🏃‍♂️ was probably my best discipline of the day 😬 coming off the bike i was worried, i could feel i worked to hard on the bike , and the legs were feeling it. I got my head in the game , stuck to the race plan and managed to pull it off by just staying consistent and managing my effort every kilometre. Time : 3h 20min

A great Race week, a great race day with the most amazing support from the @sterkspan_coaching_academy family.

To my best supporters @leandripb and my 2 little princesses who has had to sit with my moans and groans for 16weeks this can not be possible without your support at all, you guys keep the drive in me all the time to carry on , i love you ladies endlessly ❤️

Training partners and friends who have stood with me throughout the process , supported and back the build up i really appreciate you all. 🫡

ON TO THE NEXT ONE ..... 😬
