Hi! It's been a while since I've introduced myself...I’m Allison Elebash, an interior designer based in Charleston, SC. I specialize in creating inviting, thoughtfully layered interiors that strike a balance between traditional elegance and modern ease.

I launched my firm in 2008 while living on the island of St. Kitts with my family, where I oversaw interior design projects for the luxury resort, Christophe Harbour. Since returning to Charleston in 2012 and expanding my business, my team and I have designed a wide range of residential and commercial projects, from Charleston and Kiawah Island to the Caribbean. I am grateful to have been featured in numerous publications, including Luxe Magazine, Southern Living, Coastal Living, Better Homes & Gardens, and Charleston Magazine, as well as leading interior design blogs.

Here, I love to share my favorite projects, some behind-the-scenes of my design process, and adventures in life with my husband @legrand.charleston, our adult children @hudsonelebash and @celebash and of course our beloved labradoodle Bennie,🤎🐶! Thanks so much for following along!

Our latest Kiawah Island project is featured in the July issue of @luxemagazine! An amazing collaborative effort between @cumulusarchitecture, @byrdbuilders, @wertimer_cline, @nataliehwhicker and my AEID team, this project was a true labor of love and every detail was thoughtfully sourced, mostly through local craftsmen and tradespeople. The result is a serene retreat to be enjoyed for generations to come!

One thing we always look for is the space that could be doing more.

At this Kiawah Island home, we worked with @wertimer_cline to design a series of outdoor “rooms”—each with its own purpose and all functioning as true extensions of the home. What had been underused space beneath the oaks became places to gather, dine, lounge, and spend more time outside. 🌴

Meet Clara, our Procurement Manager at AEID—and the organizational mastermind behind the scenes keeping orders, vendors, invoices, and all the moving pieces on track. We truly don’t know what we’d do without her!

The coziest spot in our historic Charleston project. 🍂 Tucked just down the stairs, this den is made for curling up with a good book, working on a puzzle, or settling in for movie night.

A behind-the-scenes look at the lighting layout for our recent Kiawah Island Treehouse Project. 🌳

@grossmanbuildinggroup made and hung full-size templates so we could study placement on site with
@shoperenowharton before the real fixtures were installed.

Now that’s true design/build collaboration. 🤝

Continuing the tour of our recent Kiawah Island refresh...

Freshly painted cabinetry, new countertops and tile backsplash, updated lighting, café curtains, new barstools, art, and accessories all helped pull the space together and gave this compact kitchen a completely new feel without changing its footprint.

Swipe to see the before. →
