Taking the stage at the second-oldest library in the country with a pair of panties was not on my list. But, oh well.

Apparently, a famous ghost haunts the stacks.

“Is he handsome?” I asked the woman who swore she had seen him hovering over the Constitution of the United States.

“I didn’t get a good look at him… He turned away. But everyone in Charleston knows him. He’s a soldier.”

“What kind of books does he like? Cookbooks?”

“Historical fiction, I suppose.”

“Well, if you see him again, please recommend my panties to him.”

“I can’t promise anything,” she said solemnly, “but I’ll try.”

In Charleston, I ate spectacularly well and drank even better. I slept like a dream and laughed even harder.

When I walked into the “Elebash Oriental,” I was invited to choose from twenty-three different cans. Only one contained a few milligrams of THC. Without knowing it, my old UAB instincts led me straight to that one. I downed it in one go, like any ordinary blood-orange soda… and the rest is history.

Thank you, Allison and LeGrand, for two nights I will carry in my heart forever—and thank you to all the wonderful Southern souls in the most charming city I have ever set foot in.

Oh, Charleston. You were a dream.

We shared another bathroom from this incredible home in Downtown Charleston on Wentworth St, but this one deserves its own moment too ✨

We’re loving the mix of the patterned wallpaper, painted millwork, marble and chrome. Classic details with plenty of personality! Proof that even a small space can make a statement 💪

As always, we get to work with some incredible people to make our homeowners vision come to life. Make sure to check them out!

I bet this cool home bar designed by @allisonelebashinteriors makes this room the most popular spot in the house! The designer managed to make this space elegant & refined, yet casual and relaxed. Such a great color on the cabinets!

A Kiawah Island project designed by @allisonelebashinteriors who uses Jasper’s ‘Devonshire’, to mirror the natural world around the marshside home, wrapping the bedroom in a field of tiny flowers that add yet another layer of detail to the richly textured and patterned bedroom.

Wow Factor ✨ A showstopping Kiawah Island bedroom designed by uber talented Charleston designer @allisonelebashinteriors featuring Kashmiri wallpaper from @lewisandwood .

Also available as fabric, Kashmiri is inspired by an Indian muslin shawl embroidered with gold satin thread. It works beautifully with a variety of colors and natural wood, as pictured here.

Send us a DM for more information on this beautiful pattern!

From the beach to the build.

This Isle of Palms home is starting to take shape, and it's always exciting to see the bones of a project before the finishes tell the rest of the story.

Framed up and time to talk details. 👀

This week, we met our our out-of-town clients and project team at their future home on Isle of Palms to walk the newly framed spaces, review exterior samples, talk lighting controls, and plan ahead for some of the custom finishes to come.

Senior Project Manager R.P. Newton led the way. A lot gets decided at this stage, and seeing it all take shape in person makes a big difference.
