To be honest, my biggest regret this season occurred this weekend. I forgot to ask for the sibling reenactment of This Is What Dreams Are Made Of promised by Ds sister before I left for the night. This will haunt me.
In all seriousness though, this wedding weekend *is* what dreams are made of.

I know what you’re thinking, what’s a place like me doing in a girl like this?
.
.
(Brod really wanted me to go with something cool for a caption like “Allow me to reintroduce myself” or “Don’t call it a comeback” but naturally I opted for the 90’s movie reference.)

A proper coastal wedding with your best friends by your side and the same officiant that married them too.
Something came up during portraits and I need to ask - did you guys have crab races when you went to the beach as kids??

Another wonderful season coming to a close.
I’ve been asked a few times recently what I do with my time in the “off season”. There’s editing, education, taxes, marketing, portfolio updating, and all the other things that take a back seat through the summer.
Mostly I just try and squeeze in some life.
(And catch up on sharing some of the life I had the honour of documenting again this year)

There really is so much to shooting weddings. We like to keep things easy and straightforward and drop different photographers into specific categories like editorial, candid/photojournalistic, cinematic and so on but the truth is we have to be able to do it all. Quickly. In whatever conditions presented to us. With whatever gear we can carry throughout the day. While keeping a wide variety of people comfortable and happy.
Portraits, fashion, architecture, details all in a cohesive story.
I don’t know, I think I’m just impressed with us.
