For the second Thursday in a row, we’re celebrating great news and this week’s announcement is especially meaningful.

Domashniy Bar has been selected for @50bestdiscovery, the global platform that showcases outstanding restaurants, bars and hotels from around the world.

Over the past few years, we’ve hosted dozens of international guest shifts, represented Kazakhstan across different countries, welcomed some of the world’s leading bar professionals together @_shift.project_, @visitalmatykz, @almaty_tourismbureau and done everything we could to introduce Kazakhstan’s bar culture to the global community. Today it’s incredibly rewarding to see that those efforts have been recognized.

We’d also like to congratulate our fellow venues that joined 50 Best Discovery this year! Together we’re proving that our scene is growing, evolving, and earning its place on the world stage.

Thank you to our team, our guests, our friends, and everyone who has been with us since the very beginning. This is only the start.

With love, team Domashniy🧡 taken in Domashniy Bar by @allo.abay

Dear friends!
Today is a huge day for us!

Our bar has been included in the @top500bars ranking, placing #391 and has become the first bar in Kazakhstan’s history to achieve this recognition.

Top 500 Bars is one of the world’s largest international bar rankings, bringing together the 500 best bars globally based on professional evaluations, media coverage, guest reviews and industry reputation.

This is an important milestone not only for our team, but also for Kazakhstan’s entire bar community.

Thank you to everyone who has been and continues to be a part of this journey! taken in Domashniy Bar by @allo.abay

🔹 Abay Mukambayev — Domashniy Bar | Almaty 🔹

We present @allo.abay from Almaty’s unorthodox Domashniy Bar.
Domashniy (translating to "Home-like") is a literal home and a "shelter for frustrated zoomers and overwhelmed millennials". The team embraces a sustainability philosophy of "not multiplying evil", choosing to repurpose "heaps of junk" already in existence—like using cans as dishes and sourcing ingredients from what is simply "left in the fridge"—rather than supporting new production.

🟠 With capacity strictly limited to ensure intimate experience and networking with icons of global bartending, now is the time to secure your spot at the global hub.
