🎄CHRISTMAS IS COMING TO ABC! 🎄

Our Christmas Photoshoot with Jenny from @jbmomentsphotography is back on Saturday 7 November, 1–5.30pm, and we’d love our ABC families to join us!

Think beautiful Christmas costumes, festive PJs, lots of smiles, a little posing and plenty of fun!

Christmas costumes provided by ABC
Bring your own outfits too - PJs are very welcome!
Parents, siblings and other family members can join in
Perfect for Christmas presents, personalised Christmas cards and special memories to treasure.

Each photoshoot lasts 10 minutes, and the £5 non-refundable booking fee is deducted from the cost of any photographs you purchase.

ABC doesn't stop when class ends

Our ABC leisurewear is made for all those bits in between, arriving at class, heading home, keeping cosy, travelling to rehearsals and simply being part of the ABC family.

❤️ Wellness Wednesday ❤️

Today we talk about resilience - a group of skills that help us through adversity. Having resilience allows us to cope better and recover more quickly, or at least start heading in that direction when things become a struggle. ❤️

I know that sometimes I find my resilience is low and I can dwell on a situation rather than trying to learn from it and move on ... I wallow. It doesn't help me, it makes me feel rubbish; I either blame myself or get angry. Neither of which helps me move forwards. ❤️

Building a toolkit of skills to help us when things become a struggle will allow us to adapt and bounce back when things don't go as planned.

One of those key skills is self compassion. Sometimes our struggles can make us feel alone and feel as though we are the only ones that feel this way and that there is something wrong with us. By practicing self compassion and recognising that we are not alone in our struggles can really help us move forwards. ❤️

❤️ Next time you are feeling less resilient, think about how you would treat a friend when they feel really bad about themselves or are struggling in some way. Write down what you would say and do to support your friend.

❤️ Think about times when you feel bad or are struggling. Write down what you would say to yourself.

❤️ Do you notice a difference? If so why do you treat yourself so differently from others.

❤️ Think about how things might change if you respond to yourself the same way you respond to your friend.

Next time you are struggling, try treating yourself like a good friend and see what happens. ❤️

Watching Week is always special, but this week has been a lovely reminder of *why* we do what we do.

As teachers, we see the progress that happens week after week, the little steps forward, the growing confidence, the determination and the smiles when something finally clicks.

But getting to share a little of that with our families, seeing them join in, laugh together and celebrate their children… that’s something really special.

It’s never just about the dancing. It’s about the person they’re becoming along the way.

And we honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

So proud of our dancers, and so grateful for our wonderful ABC family.
