Dream days in my life are days in my reality that feel exactly how I imagined them in my inner world. I love honoring and acknowledging them because they remind me that my outer world is catching up to the life I desire to embody. Fun, creative, beautiful, grounded, heart led and joyful amongst other things.

It’s so funny to me that this all came together so naturally within 24 hours of getting a call from @mindfullivingwithz 🌿 Zayda, thank you for supporting my wild imagination and being part of officially birthing this beautiful Florida Water for others to enjoy outside of my circle of friends and family.

Root Chakra 101 📌 Money Wounds

Most of us were taught that struggling with money means we’re irresponsible. That it’s a character flaw. A discipline problem. Something to be ashamed of.

But when money has always felt unpredictable, your nervous system learns to respond accordingly. The feast or famine cycles. The inability to hold onto money even when it’s coming in. The guilt of having more than your family. The spending that feels like relief. The scarcity that shows up even when the numbers say otherwise.

That’s not a personal failure. That’s what happens when your nervous system learned to respond to money the same way your ancestors did.

During a visit to my Akashic Records I was guided to an ancestor who showed me exactly where my family’s money patterns actually started. That session changed how I understood my entire relationship with money.

Welcome to my place of joy, wonder and play!

I did a photoshoot with @inkaoriginals in my community garden recently, and I can’t wait to share more soon.

This garden is where I go daily to stay grounded in the middle of the city. No acres, just a few raised beds tended to in Brooklyn, and somehow that is abundantly enough.

Stepping back into teaching after taking time off to pour into myself, I knew I wanted to bring women here.

As part of my 6-week root chakra immersion, Deeply Rooted, we’ll gather in person to make medicine together, like the herbal bath you’re watching me create here, using plants I’ve been tending to all season. These baths will energetically support you throughout the program.

The immersion is hybrid by design. Weekly sessions are online, because some of this work is meant to happen in the comfort and privacy of your own home and space, where your nervous system can actually relax.

But not all of it can happen through a screen. From experience, there’s something special that happens when women gather in nature and make medicine together. It was my favorite part of my herbalism apprenticeship, and I can’t wait for you all to experience this magic.

Root Chakra 101 📌 EARTH MEDICINE

I used to hear people talk about grounding and be so confused about what they actually meant.

When your spiritual awakening begins, it’s so easy to get lost chasing upper chakra everything. Third eye activations. Psychic downloads. Astral projection. The upper chakras always seem so much more fun than the lower ones so we are quick to focus on ascending while our bodies are screaming for basic safety.

It took a vortex hike in Asheville, a consistent grounding practice, and working with plant medicine to finally feel what safe actually feels like in my body.

That’s grounding. Not a concept you intellectualize but a felt experience you embody.

Every culture that has ever existed has understood the earth as mother. The one who holds you without condition. Who won’t disappear, won’t withdraw her love, won’t make you earn your place. That’s the foundation your nervous system has been searching for.

That’s what we come back to in Week 3 of Deeply Rooted, my 6-week root chakra immersion for woman who have outgrown the version of themselves they built on survival.

We work with plant allies and grounding practices to come back into relationship with the earth and our bodies. We spend time together IRL in a community garden learning what safety actually feels like as a somatic experience, not just an idea.

A perfect Saturday in Athens… 🇬🇷✨

Started my day at a local market. It’s one of my favorite ways to experience the culture and energy of a city during my travels.

O L I V E S 😍

One of my favorite things about traveling in this era of my life is the way I come into relationship with the places I have the honor/privilege to visit.

As an herbalist + land steward I now experience places through the frequency of the plants and land. I’ve always been a conscious traveler, but my trips are a lot deeper and more meaningful because of this. It’s very magical and I’m just so honored by the energy of it all.

One the first plants I connected with since arriving. Native to the Mediterranean, Oleander it is both stunningly beautiful and highly toxic.

So much to learn from this beauty of a plant about justified boundaries, discernment, protection and resilience. Looking forward to connecting with its energy more while we are here.

Next week I’m taking a Greek herbalism workshop and doing a plant walk with a local herbalist. I’m ecstatic!! Truly living my dream life. Thank you God, more please! 💕

I selfishly love when @toribious_monk plays in parks or nature. At its core, dancing to music in nature is very ancestral and one of the original ways we communed and grounded as a collective. Getting to experience this moment in Athens was everything and I love that the surrounding trees and plants enjoy this experience as well.

This is my second time in Greece and I just have to say that Greek and Dominicans are VERY similar culturally 🇬🇷🫶🏽🇩🇴 We both share a deep passion for close knit family + communities, hospitality, big joyful celebrations and good food. Thank you to everyone who has made us feel so at home here!

Root Chakra 101 📌 ANCESTOR WORK

My ancestor work began in Ghana.

I went for the Year of the Return and came back knowing I had to get serious about honoring my lineage. I started with my great-grandmother. For years that was the relationship I tended.

Then the messages started coming through about my father.

He passed when I was five. I have no memories of him except his funeral. I never really got to know him as a man.

So I did an ancestor elevation for him and it changed my life.

What I learned in that elevation explained some of the patterns I had been living out without understanding why. His story became the key to understanding my own.

This is what I like to refer to as a Legacy Leap.

Every wound you heal, every cycle you break, every time you choose differently than the generations before you, you are leaping your entire bloodline forward.

Your ancestors feel it. Your future descendants benefit from it. And you get to be the one who says this stops with me or this healing starts with me.

That’s Week 2 of my 6-week root chakra immersion, Deeply Rooted.

In awe that this is my life in New York City.

Root Chakra 101 📌

Your root chakra is your foundation. It governs your sense of safety, security, belonging, money, and home. Everything else in your life builds on top of it.

For me, the chakras were the gateway to deeper consciousness and awareness about myself. After almost a decade in therapy, (shoutout to my incredible psychologist who changed my life!!!) the chakras helped me go deeper with my inner work.

That work led me back to my roots and my ancestors. And my ancestors led me back to the plants, herbalism and the healing traditions in my bloodline.

This is the foundation of Deeply Rooted. Six weeks of ancestral healing, earth medicine, and money wound work for women who have outgrown the version of themselves they built on survival.
