Yesterday was spent celebrating what should’ve been Brett and I’s wedding day. It was filled with tears, memories, and so much love. While I loved every second of it, it was heartbreaking not being able to share this experience with Brett. Thank you to our friends for showing up to honor us and be there on such a bittersweet day. A HUGE shout out to Emily for taking on the planning process for all of this. From making the reservation at Brett and I’s venue and sending invites to making decorations and helping me pick out my dress, none of this would’ve been possible without her. After months of waiting, my name is now officially and legally Allyssa Fine 🥰 While it’s so bittersweet to be taking Brett’s last name without him here, I know he would be so happy. Five months and every day seems to get harder without you. These past two weeks have been especially difficult with our engagement anniversary and your birthday coming up. I don’t know how to do life without you and I hate that I have to. I miss your jokes and how calm I felt with you by my side. I am struggling so bad to understand why you had to go and why we couldn’t get our happily ever after. You deserved the entire world and more. I’m so thankful of the time we got together, but, I’m not gonna lie, I’m so incredibly jealous of everyone who gets to be with their person. Don’t take it for granted.
