🎤✨ Brother Philip Wilkerson (@illphil500 )represented both Alpha Toastmasters 1906 and George Mason Toastmasters at District 218’s Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) hosted on the campus of George Mason University.

This summer, Toastmasters launched the new District 218 for the 2026–2027 year, and the district is already doing incredible work training and developing leaders across Virginia. Philip was grateful for the opportunity to connect with fellow Toastmasters and support a mission centered on communication, leadership, and personal growth.

👏 Congratulations to all of the leaders and volunteers helping make District 218 a success!

We want to acknowledge the leadership team, both past and present, who carry the vision of cultivating great orators and leaders within our great fraternity. Our charter member, founder, and first president @illphil500. Our second president @trinidancekidd for picking up the mantle and carrying this vision forward, and our current president @shwtyblck for continuing the mission today and setting the standard of excellence in the competition circuit.
•
Alpha Toastmasters 1906 is a fairly recent club within Toastmasters International. We were founded for the purposes of helping Brothers of our beloved Fraternity increase their capacity as orators and leaders. Of course, we brought across our ideals and aims and apply them to everything we do here.
-
Here’s the truth: We demand excellence from our members, and we are holding our members accountable for becoming the best speakers and leaders they can be.
•
We want to see your name on this plaque one day, so come and join the club and start your journey to become a Distinguished Toastmaster.
