Shooting today with the man himself Laurence Fishburne. I’ve been watching his movies my whole life and The Matrix is my all time favourite. Life has a wonderful way of blessing you when you keep pushing forward 🙌🏾

The crazy thing is I was using the FX3 & FX30 expansion pack on this shoot 🤩

Taking things WAYYYY back with our new super 8 camera NEKODA.

We’ve been working on this for about 7 months now and finally have a working prototype.

The final version will be a full aluminium camera complete with touchscreen and its own EVF.

I couldn’t contain myself so wanted to give a sneak peek of this camera that records 12bit CDNG raw and mp4 proxies for playback. The camera is being developed with @filmatura_cinema and we will have a proper release in the very near future.

We’ve taken the software as far as we can and now have a new developer who’s going to take things to the next level (he will be announced soon).

I graded and softened the image with dehancer but at 2k resolution, there’s enough data & sharpness to take this anywhere you want.

Lastly, we didn’t want to create a traditional camera, we wanted something that looks & feels different, a collectors camera for those who love niche for special use cases. by @altcinecam

A quick update on the EVF.

We’re currently choosing the final glass optics and designing the mechanism to adjust it.

As you know there’s no such thing as CHEAP & GOOD so we have to make a decision wether to use top quality glass which is expensive or slightly lower quality glass which has slight colour fringing on edges.

We personally want to go for the higher quality glass as we want this to be a high end product but it means higher end costs.

It’ll still cost less than Sony with the added benefit of being universal with internal & external power.

As mentioned before, I’m committed to getting this one out asap before taking a long break.

I don’t need to be involved in manufacturing and shipping so I really want to reveal the prototype to start taking pre-orders asap. by @altcinecam

I used @makera.official Z1 Pro with the 5w blue laser module.

Please join me for my next video (this weekend) as I explore CNC manufacturing at home. I know small CNC machines have been around for a while but they still required lots of knowledge. After trying the @makera.official Z1 Pro I honestly believe anyone can become good at this.

With Makera Studio it’s like the BambuLab of at home manufacturing. There is a learning curve but it’s not too steep.

When I started AltCine, the goal was to share and sell files that people could use to make their own products with great designs. Now that we can use Aluminium, Wood, hard plastics, laser engraving, etching…the accessory world is truly changing.

I made the EVF mount along with other small parts that completely change how I can use the Komodo. by @altcinecam

The first build of ZR control made specifically for Accsoon M7 monitors. Like Parallax these apps support various Nikon and now RED cameras.

Talking with the developer I asked him if I could be the first to try as I don’t want to be constrained by SDI for various reasons.

Testing the first build with support for RED cams is actually quite amazing. The USB Link Adapter is quite slow with RED control app but somehow Mike from Parallax/ ZR control has already done a great job despite the limitations of the RED link adapter.

The M7 pro supports 3G SDI only and Komodo has 12G SDI but whichever SDI monitor you use, the speed of USB is certainly impressive at such an early stage.

He hopes to make more improvements to see if he can make it better so watch this space and I’ll keep you updated.

Once again, a big shoutout to @accsoontech for being bold enough to try something new. You probably didn’t know it but you changed the game with this monitor 🙌🏾

It’s been 2 weeks with the @makera.official Z1 pro and it’s crazy. To go from 3D printing to CNC machining at home is incredible.

Im not that great in fusion and only just started with Makera Studio but within a couple days of learning the basics, I’ve made my first useable product.

Stay tuned for the YouTube video coming asap because I’m dropping V2 of the anamorphic adapter in that video.

Don’t forget…in all your building, designing, rigging & coding…you must get out and shoot.

It’s been great downing tools for a bit and shooting with @thypoch_official Simera C lenses has been a lot of fun.

We always say gear doesn’t matter but when you have gear you enjoy using then creativity explodes. by @altcinecam

Been getting a lot of questions about this Accsoon M7 pro monitor and I’m surprised people don’t know about it yet. I do use this with HDMI mainly but there’s so many ways to use this monitor it’s crazy.

If you want to see it in professional setups then visit @accsoontech and also @rigcntrl is doing some crazy stuff with LUMIX and the M7
