Footage Shot on the BMPCC OG.
(Definitely wanna learn what it takes to rehouse and mod cameras. I want to install a new tilt screen on this and battery grip without rigging it out.)

YSL MYSLF

A D: A little concept piece for one of my favourite fragrances right now — YSL MYSLF Le Parfum. Playing off the name and serving as a reminder that we’re all on our own unique journey. 🌟

I’ve honestly been loving this fragrance lately — it’s the perfect balance of sweet and masculine, with a rich, woody floral base, and it’s been racking up the compliments! 👌🏾

Let me know what you think about the video and if you’ve tried the fragrance. More concept videos on the way, so stay tuned! ✨

Stay pretty!

As a creative, and supporter of other creatives putting in sweat into the things they want to realise into this world - I often get caught up in the thoughts of “am I doing enough?” or “is this good enough?” So much so that I forget to realise that we are all just small part of a much bigger picture and deep down im incredibly grateful to cross paths with such opportunities.

The Decolonisation of Africa, a 90min strong documentary film condenses down an incredible amount of African history, present and quite possibly the trajectory for the future. Produced, directed, researched, captured, and most critically “Told” solely by Africans and the diaspora of Africans, it unearths the ugly truths and incredible triumphs that you would not surface if it were created in any other way.

There was the most powerful statement that hit me pretty hard during the Q&A, which shed light on the how each and every one of us capturing moments on our phones become historians documenting something of great importance.

While working on recording interviews of some incredible figures that have changed the destiny and directions of the world, I knew I was working on something important. In seeing the premiere, I now realise I just couldn’t grasp just how important beyond measure my small task was in the grand scheme of it all. If anything, without the world changing differences that these important figures have made, it’s quite possible my own existence would be very different. It’s films like these that will be studied and even possible taught to future leaders of the world that maybe haven’t even been born yet.

There is still a long way to go for humanity in the world and that’s very evident at this moment in time. but it’s clear that no matter how small an effort is made with positive intent, it becomes part of bigger picture, it matters. We are doing what we can to leave something better behind.
