These are the last pots before loading the kiln in two weeks. Fitting, as it's still iced tea weather here. taken in Alto Clay Works by @altoclayworks

This cup is made from an iron-rich stoneware, and is coated with a slip of very translucent porcelain (Southern Ice, for those of you playing at home). It was placed way back by the exit flue of the kiln, away from the fire and brimstone up front, resulting in very subtle surface variations. Compare to the previous stoneware teabowl. taken in Alto Clay Works by @altoclayworks

Picked up a couple of pots for the collection from a dear friend this morning. First is a 19th c jar from Hwang Hae province in Korea, second is a James Makins tumbler from the 1980s. taken in Alto Clay Works by @altoclayworks
