𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐚-𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲 ❤️

On friday I injured two fingers with my industrial sewing machine. Luckily both fingers are still intact and got some brushes, but one of them is currently not functional till fully healed 😭

When it happened Akio rushed to me and since then stayed with me, so that he can comfort me 🥹
He’s truly my emotional support Shiba-Baby 🐕

(he will probably ditch me the moment he realises I’m all right 😆)

𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩

It’s time for our monthly recap! 🍂🎃
This month was busy. Like, “how did we even fit all of this into one month?” busy. 😂

So here’s just a little glimpse at some of the things we got up to!

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭?

A big thank you to Josh from @kims_shiba.maedchen for capturing this adorable family photo during our pumpkin adventure! 🧡

Apparently, one month was enough time to become a full-time costume department. 😂
I went wild sewing outfits for the whole family. An armor for Akio, an corset for Sorang, an relaxed medieval look for Hang and a Renaissance-inspired outfit for myself

Fully dressed and ready for battle we headed to Burg Satzvey with @the_shibakel_yukiko_n_takumi and my sister @keep_up_mom with her family for the knight tournament!

It was such a cool experience and we had soooo much fun! 🏰

Thank you @keep_up_mom for taking our family picture ❤️

Pumpkin season officially started! 🎃

To celebrate the beginning of autumn, we met up with @kims_shiba.maedchen and visited @gertrudenhof. Our mission was to get completely lost in the pumpkin universe. 🎃😂

Mission accomplished.
We got some beautiful photos, but even better, we made some really lovely memories together. 🧡

„24h apart“-selfies 😂 We went to a party and next day we visited a fabric market ❤️

Another highlight: Mid-Autumn Festival! 🥮🌕

Of course, we celebrated with family and friends with hot pot and mooncakes

And this year, the dogs got their very own mooncakes too! 🥮

We made them from potatoes and eggs, and judging by the reactions, they were very pleased with their little festival treats. 😂

And finally… our mooncake box! 🥮

This year, we treated ourselves to a very pretty box with lots of different flavors.

But despite all the fancy varieties, our favorite is still the classic Cantonese-style mooncake with lotus paste and salted egg yolk. 👀 taken in Mainz, Germany by @altstadtrudel

𝓢𝓲𝓻 𝓐𝓴𝓲𝓸, 𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓼𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓷𝓪𝓶𝓮

𝐋𝐞𝐭‘𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝

I love this recipe because the bread is not only delicious, but also pretty quick to make! It only takes 2 hours to make and another hour to cool down.

You can find the recipe in our Story Highlight 🤤

𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐛𝐲𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 👋

Let‘s make way for the ‘ber months ✨ But first, let’s take a look at how August went…

#augustrecap #monthlyrecap #digitalbulletjournal #happyfamily #shibainu

At the beginning of August, we met @kims_shiba.maedchen . It was such a wonderful day, and we’re already looking forward to seeing each other again!

Food is still important, even while dieting. You just eat out less 🥲😂

While everyone else was watching the solar eclipse, we drove out into the middle of nowhere at night. With the new moon, we weren’t only able to see the Milky Way, but also some of the most beautiful shooting stars! Another item checked off the bucket list.

Everyday life has us firmly in its grip. But we’re still trying to make the most of every second we get to spend together, the four of us! taken in Mainz, Germany by @altstadtrudel

Originally, this beloved dessert was created in Hong Kong in 1984 at Lei Garden, when they opened a new branch in Singapore. It was designed for a hot, tropical climate, using regional ingredients such as fresh mango, pomelo, coconut milk, and sago pearls. You can find it in every dessert shop in Hong Kong, or during summer at our house ;D

For this recipe, you can use 1 kg of fresh mango, or you can use mango pulp and pre-sliced frozen mango instead. We will use the second method in this recipe.

𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒
60g uncooked small tapioca
800g mango pulp
200g mango pieces
200ml unsweetened coconut milk
60ml sweetened condensed milk
A drip of vanilla extract

𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒
1. Cook the tapioca pearls according to the instructions on the package. Make sure they are completely transparent when cooked. If they still have a white center, turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for another 10 minutes.

2. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside in cold water.

3. Blend the mango pulp with coconut milk, condensed milk, and vanilla until smooth. Chill for at least 1 hour if you prefer it cold.

4. Drain the tapioca and stir into the mango mixture. Serve in bowls and top with the reserved mango chunks.

𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐮

Everyone loves tiramisu. It’s a modern Italian dessert that originated in the late 1960s or early 1970s and quickly took the world by storm. A popular myth claims that it was invented in 19th-century Treviso brothels, where the owner supposedly served this energizing coffee and egg dessert to clients before taken in Mainz, Germany by @altstadtrudel

Did you know, if you smile at your dog, it activates their reward system in their brain.

This reward circuitry is the part of the brain that is activated when we enjoy and remember good things, like tasty food or praise.

So a smile is like a special treat to them ❤️
