A ministry to bring light to dark places in the world with the compassion of God by being grounded on the Word of God.
Matthew 5:14

Ever wondered what it truly means to be the light of the world? 💡 Dive in with me!

Tag someone who needs to hear this!

Light isn’t just illumination; it’s a force that overcomes darkness. When you embrace your role as a beacon, you’re not just lighting your own path but guiding others too.

In Matthew 5:14-16, it’s clear: our light is meant to shine for all, not just for ourselves. It’s about reflecting God’s love and goodness, sharing His light with those around us.

As we surrender to Him, we become mirrors of His light, showing the world who Jesus is.

Remember, your good works aren’t for your glory but to glorify God. Let’s live surrendered lives, allowing His light to guide our actions.

The world needs your light. Are you ready to shine?

💡 Keep shining, stay blessed!

Happy New Year!
We The Body
As we walk into this new year, lets look at what we see for this year!
This year's focus is to be the functional body of Christ as described in Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-27.
We will first make sure that we are submitted to Christ as the head of us, A Luminous City! We will continue to follow his lead and example!
We will function as a unified body. We work together for the one mission of advancing the Kingdom of God to all places.
We recognize that we all have different functions in the body and honor each other in that place. We don't all do the same function but need each other.
We all function under the one purpose of the Gospel. We have been saved therefore we continue to extend that invitation of salvation to others.

A new conversation is coming to A Luminous City.🌟

We’re talking about identity, faith, surrender, and the freedom of becoming new in Christ.

The old identity may try to pull you back into shame—but you are not who you used to be. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”

Not improved. Not patched up. New.

Throughout the book of Jonah, we find that Jonah is called to go and preach to the Ninevites. Rather than going, he decides to try and run to Tarshish. Unsuccessful, a storm comes over the Mediterranean Sea startling the sailors. They ask everyone to ask their gods to stop the storm, but Jonah confesses that the storm is because of his disobedience. He volunteers to be thrown overboard. When done, the storm ceases and Jonah is swallowed into the belly of a great fish in which he prays. He is then spit out onto dry land. God recalls him to preach to the Ninevites and he is obedient. The Ninevites are receptive, leading them to fast in repentance, even the king. God sees their heart of repentance and turns away from the disaster coming about the Ninevites. Jonah is mad and God shows that this mercy is because of His dedication to humanity (אָדָם).

Takeaways:
- Our identity as a child of God supersedes all other identities.
- We are responsible to shine Jesus, not keep him to ourselves.
- Walking with God is a journey to walk through, not a single time solution for all of life's problems.

Application:
- Have a heart for all people. God's view was beyond the Israelites. it was for humanity (adam "אָדָם").
- There is no escaping God's mission. God has a way of pulling us back on track even when we try to run from what he calls us to do.
- Allow the journey God is bringing you on. It's not always going to be easy or comfortable.
