Our little street library is a special kind of joy. Except for adding the odd book or two when I decide I don't want to keep one, or moving books to other local libraries if ours is over full, I do nothing, and just let the magic of the library exist. It is so fun and exciting for me (and to be 6 rest of my family) to see which books have disappeared and which books have been added. It changes on a daily basis.

If you can, I highly recommend adding one to your life.

Hi, I'm Sam.

So many of you have joined me so quickly. Thank you, it's nice to be able to rave about one of my favourite things.

And now a little more about me..... and I'll share some more things soon.

How thrilling is it when you find near new books at bargain prices. This is a little stack of some of my recent thrift store (well, actually, we call them op shops here) finds.

Do you thrift? What were you delighted to find recently?

New week, new book.

I finished Mate today, it was excellent. I have so many thoughts to share, but in the meantime, I'm diving into Threshing Day before I tackle a larger book.

Have you consumed Threshing Day yet? No spoilers, but I'd love your thoughts.

Books take us to so many places without ever leaving the couch. From all the different locations and settings where would you most like to visit if you could?

For me even though I have been once before New York is always a stand out for me, but both the Pacific North West and the English country side are places so vividly described in books I would dearly love to visit them one day.

If I could visit a fictional 6 would be Velaris, a haven for artists and dreamers, all under a stunning night sky, yes please.

What about you? Why?

September Reads in quick reviews.

Project Hail Mary, awesome book.

The Correspondent, poignant, really great concept, maybe didn't quite hit the mark fore me, but definitely worth a read.

ARC Blood and Bells, fine holiday fun!

Big Bad Wolf, could have been better but entertaining enough.

Mate... loving it so far.

What's on your list for October?

I have been waiting months for this book mail, and no, it's not what you think it is.

Happy October 1st, spooky month, we are having a much needed slow start here today. The weather matches the vibe of the month, slightly warm, over cast, constant drizzle, and zero wind. Quite perfect, really.

I'm only 100ish pages into Mate, and I'd forgotten why I liked Bride so much, Ali Hazelwood certainly has a compelling writing style, and the character banter is off the charts!

Which Ali Hazelwood books have you read?
