💜💚Witch’s Brew Bookstack 💚💜

I had so much fun with my summer pink and green Alani bookstack that I had to do one for fall. The Witch’s Brew Alani is delicious and I had fun grabbing my purple books (and 1 green one!) for this bookstack.

Which fall drink do you prefer: Pumpkin Spiced Latte or Apple Cider? Or something completely different?

🍏September Wrap Up🍏

September is always so busy and chaotic as I get used to being back at school and the kids being back at sports. But with that busyness comes routine which I don’t mind.

This month my favorite read was by a new to me author, Kelley Armstrong. Dive Bar at the End of the Road was just what I look for in a spooky fall read. I also enjoyed Kiss Slay Replay and Harbinger.

⁉️ What was your favorite book of September?

I’m not really sure what I’m reading, but I am having so much fun reading it. Thank you, @MacMillan.Audio for the alc of this book. I picked it up because I wanted to start my season of reading horror books and it sounded different from the types of books I usually read. Let me say it is different! And so much fun!
I was not expecting this book to be so funny. It has me laughing out loud every few minutes. It’s book 5 in the John Dies at The End series, but can be read as a standalone. I know I’ll be going back to see what John, Dave and Amy encountered previously!
If you like weird, bizarre horror stories with alternative universes and a bunch of idiots trying to figure it out, I highly recommend this. I can’t wait to find out where it takes me.

⁉️ What’s the funniest book you’ve read?

Thank you @entangled_publishing @redtowerbooks and @genevaleebooks for the ARC of this book.

The excitement I had when I opened up my mailbox and saw this book! I love a good romantasy and the almost 500 pages wasn’t going to scare me off! It took a little for me to get into this book, but once I did I was hooked. I fell in love with Arden, Bishop and so many of the side characters. Honestly I love a found family trope and this book delivers! The only problem is I finished two days ago and I still can’t stop thinking about the characters! I need book 2 asap!

⁉️Do you like to wait until a series is complete before starting it or do you read them as they are published?

I get fomo so I always read as they come out!😆

🚇Book Club Book🚇

Today was book club day which means it was a great day! 🥰 We met at a new local coffee shop @. We enjoyed some great drinks, delicious food and thought the whole place was adorable. It was the perfect place to chat about books on a rainy day.

Speaking of the book…We all really enjoyed it! In this book you find out right away that one of the five characters is going to die. The rest of the book is the back story of each of these 5 characters. We liked how the author chose to write the story and thought it made for a great book club book because as the author is telling each story she directly talks to the reader. There was also so much to discuss with these characters because they all had their own flaws. As you’re reading you know someone is going to die but can’t decide who deserves it most!🫣

⁉️ Do you like books with unlikeable characters?

I love them! My only exception is it can’t be a main character of a romance story.

📕 Dive Bar at the End of the Road
✍️ Kelley Armstrong

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Thank you @macmillan.audio for the ALC of this book. This was such a great listen! I listened while traveling 5.5 hours each way to Virginia last weekend to visit my daughter at college. 🥹 I couldn’t have picked a better book to listen to while traveling on back roads at night! 😵💀
From the very beginning I was hooked and as each character was introduced I wanted more and more! The full cast audio was great and really added to the audio of this book. I highly recommend this book for those looking for a spooky book this fall season.

✨Author Event✨

I had such a great time meeting one of my favorite authors @rachelharrisonsghost at @thunderroadbooks and getting my hands on a copy of her newest book Kiss Slay Replay! 💋🔪🔁

This was such a fun book event! One of my favorite parts of the night was getting to hear Rachel answer questions from her longtime friend, @cocogolightly. Their friendship made the conversation feel so intimate and fun! After listening to the two of them chat I knew I needed to also grab a copy of Courtney’s book, Welcome Home, Caroline Kline too!

And everything is better when you get to share it with a friend, so I was so happy to experience the day with my friend @libraryscented! We enjoyed a traffic-free day on the NJ parkway😳🤩, a yummy lunch🦞, delicious drinks🍾, and had a minor therapy session discussing how much we missed our girls that just went off to college. 🥹❤️

I can’t wait to spend the day reading my new book!!

⁉️Have you ever met one of your favorite authors at a book signing? Or have you ever been to a book event?

I also went to book signings for Henry Winkler and Harlan Coben.

🪼August Wrap Up🪼

I had my biggest month of reading this month. Lots of beach time, talking walks outside, and driving in the car on longs trips made it possible. Also the need of me needing to escape the reality of my daughter moving away for college. 😭😭😭

I loved the books I read this month. How is it possible that 12 of the 16 books I read were either 4 and 4.5 stars?! I’m going to put Fruit Fly my favorite of the month, but that may be because it is the freshest in my mind. I hope the other 11 books don’t take offense as I also loved them as well. 😂

Summer is officially over for me as school starts up today. Although I’m sad to see it go, l am excited for a season of wearing comfy sweaters, watching football, and reading some spooky reads. 🎃🍂🏈🍁👻

⁉️ What book are you starting September with? Or tell me your favorite book of August.

📆 Out now!

Thank you @_lindsays.little.library_ for the best book mail ever! Check out all the goodies I got with my signed copy! 🥹🥰🤩 I love @aliciabooks so I am beyond excited to win this giveaway and to get started on the book.

Synopsis:
After yet another disastrous date where Jess is too awkward, too earnest, too whatever, she’s ready to put her romantic daydreams aside. Other than an enchanting Irish accent, her latest date is no prince charming. Then the night goes from bad to worse when she’s mugged in the parking lot and hits her head. Hard.
Hard enough that when Jess wakes up, she’s in Ireland.
The first person she meets is Eamonn, a quiet, gruff mechanic. Since Jess is stranded with no passport, cell phone, or way to get home, Eamonn becomes her reluctant knight in shining armor.
Over the next forty-eight hours, they meander through the cobblestone streets of Dublin and explore the Irish countryside, sharing their deepest fears, quiet hopes, and softest aches. It’s a connection that is as electrifying as it is terrifying, because what if Jess falls asleep and Eamonn vanishes like a dream? But a love like this—touched by magic and a little bit of luck—is never quite as it seems.

📕 Birth of the Witch

I used to read Nora Roberts’ books all the time. It started with me grabbing my mom’s books, but it continued with years of reading her books. It has been a while since I’ve picked up one, but when I saw she had a new trilogy coming out about witches, I knew I had to give them a shot!

I’ve just started and am enjoying the building of the story. I like how both main characters keep almost meeting and can’t wait until they finally do!
