✨ 6.15.2015 ✨
11 years ago today, I signed the contract that made me SAG-AFTRA & eligible to be cast in my first featured role in John Wick: Chapter 2 as Winston’s Assistant.

My screen time was brief. The role was small. In fact, some industry “friends” made me feel like it wasn’t worth celebrating - some said I was just a “background character without dialogue.”

What started as living my dream and being so elated to have my first experince being on a huge movie set, quickly became something I hesitated to share or be proud of…

Until one friend said something that completely shifted my perspective:

“Your role may have been small, but you were in one of the most pivotal scenes of the entire franchise.”

🥹I took that as a wink from the Universe 🥲
A reminder that every opportunity—no matter how big or small—is serving a purpose. Every set, every role, every lesson is shaping you into who you’re becoming.

Looking back now, I’m incredibly grateful that my journey began learning from the best in the business, on incredible sets, working alongside Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, and Chad Stahelski. They gave me a front-row seat to excellence and new standard for the kind of actor and creator I wanted to be…. These early experiences became part of the foundation that allows me to audition for large roles with confidence and write, direct, produce, and create my own work today.

The lesson?
Don’t let anyone diminish your accomplishments, your work, or the chapter you’re currently living. What may seem small to someone else could be a critical piece of your story... No one really knows the chapter you’re living in, your personal goals and circumstances surrounding your life except you- You owe it to yourself to own and celebrate every step.

Trust the process. Trust your path. Sometimes the smallest role ends up playing a much bigger part in your destiny than you could ever imagine 🙏🏼😎🫶🏻⚡️

@sohofilmfest crew 🙌🏼…it takes a villiage! ⚡️

In Lady Gaga’s song “Abracadabra,” the “lady in red” represents your internal monologue, self-doubt, and the negative backtalk that tests you when you face life’s challenges- Lady Gaga explained that the “lady in red” is the part of yourself that asks questions like, “Can you do it? Will you do it? Are you good enough?”

In the lyric: “Like a poem said by a lady in red, you hear the last few words of your life” sets up the track, representing the feeling of being trapped by your own fears or inner critic…

As we celebrated actors and filmmakers for their BRAVE work; putting their blood, sweat and tears into their art, I felt RED was appropriate for the night, with a reminder to keep shining, being unapologetic in your craft and in being who you are.
⚡️Your unique voice matters. Your work matters!⚡️

🎥 The films move you and the people behind them hold the whole world together. Festivals don’t run themselves, and hard stories don’t get told on their own…but everyone here makes it LOOK EASY 🙌🏼

As an actress & filmmaker, I know how much heart, dedication, and persistence it takes to bring a story to the screen. 💗 A pause from film festival festivities to step onto a different carpet… a PINK one! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and an organization incredibly close to my heart - @thepinkagenda

The Pink Agenda raises funds for breast cancer research and care, while engaging a new generation in awareness and action—working toward a better future for everyone impacted by this disease.

Losing my mother to breast cancer when I was 4 yrs old changed the course of my life forever. For me, this work is deeply personal. It’s about giving families more time together. More birthdays, more milestones, more memories—and the hope that fewer children will have to grow up without their mothers.

It’s also about my older sister, who was diagnosed at just 30. Following treatment, she has been able to live a healthy life and raise two beautiful children. Today, she serves on The Pink Agenda’s board. Seeing her help advance the work that means so much to our family makes me incredibly proud.

I continue to stay proactive with my own screenings and encourage you to speak with your doctor about what’s right for you, especially if you have a family history. Early detection is the best prevention.

Thank you, TPA, for your dedication and for bringing us together at your Annual Gala— to raise funds, awareness, and hope.

✨One of the very few memories I have of my mom is of her letting me play dress-up and wear cowgirl boots with sparkles and a little heel. Those boots were so special to me. My boots & dress-up for the event are little nods to my memories — and to her, on a night that means so much.💗

💜 This memory popped up on my timeline this morning from 11 yrs ago: me playing Jessie Spano in a Saved by the Bell parody for #MakingASceneWithJamesFranco 📼⚡️

It felt especially bittersweet to see it today, just as I learned of Dennis Haskins’ passing…

Mr. Belding was such a beloved part of the show that was on every single day in my home growing up, like for so many others…this cast shaped a generation.

Rest in peace, Dennis Haskins. Thank you for the laughter and for being part of a show we will all always hold in the highest regard and as one of the greatest of all time. 🙏🏼🕊️

Because while I love having you guys along for the ride — so much of what I create is rooted in love, empowerment, lifting female voices, helping women feel confident in their skin, owning their truth, making healthy choices & having the courage to tell their stories.

💃🏽 Buena Vista Social Club is, hands down, one of THE BEST shows I’ve seen in a loooong time…

Before I get into everything that makes this show phenomenal, let me start with:

NATALIE VENETIA BELCON!!!!!!! 🤯
WOW. What a POWERHOUSE SUPERSTAR. 🙌🏼🔥

Natalie is the kind of actress and performer I DREAM of watching. You can’t teach what she does. She just IS. From her powerful vocals to her smallest expressions, she embodies everything a leading actress should be. She commands not just the stage but the entire theater.

This woman had me smiling through tears. I haven’t seen a live performance with her kind of star power in a long time. Witnessing her magic was truly a gift.
& @isa_antonetti was perfectly cast, with her powerhouse vocals, playing young Omara

Now, a little context…

Inspired by true events, Buena Vista Social Club tells the story behind the legendary Grammy-winning album that helped bring traditional Afro-Cuban music to audiences around the world. It follows the musicians whose lives, dreams and memories shaped its sound, with singer Omara Portuondo and her journey to find her own voice at its heart.

It’s a beautiful celebration of Cuban culture, woven through a story of love, sacrifice, second chances and the power of music. So much rhythm, heart and soul… You don’t have to speak or understand Spanish to feel every beautiful moment on that stage. This show makes you FEEL why music is a universal language.

Another fun surprise: Seeing former @Mets player José Iglesias @joseiglesias_ss as the narrator—with FRANCISCO LINDOR @lindor12bc sitting right next to me in the audience (⚡️LETS GO METS 🙌🏼🧡)!!

The ENTIRE CAST is incredible & a HUGE shoutout must belongs to the insanely talented musicians, who had us all wanting to jump out of our seats and dance. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a standing ovation mid-show before tonight... the flute player actually made me CRY during an insane run. If you’re a musician or a music lover this show is absolutely for you…
